Granny’s has went down hill for sure. Went on a weekend to get breakfast. Server was nice. Noticed a guy in the kitchen with a tank top all sweaty.Arm pits all hairy. AC/DC cranking over the speakers. Don’t get me wrong I like AC/DC but this was a little much for the older crowd a just a bit too much for a relaxing breakfast before church. Giving the dog a bone by AC/DC cranking over the speakers with you children with you trying to eat is just plain redneckish.
I have no idea what is happening at Granny’s but it is not what it was even six months ago. Food portions are way too small for what you pay. I kid you not. I ordered hash browns with my breakfast and the amount was probably the size of two tablespoons smashed flat. They were also vey greasy. Ordered them with onions and I bet I seen about 3 to 4 little pieces. This is so much different than it was just months ago. The hash browns with onions were big and loaded. Very disappointing.
The kid’s pancakes were laughable. They are now half as big as they were. I wish I would have taken a picture. I know kids usually don’t eat much, but I would be embarrassed to even serve that. Ridiculous. The sausage seemed like it was left over and reheated. Hard and Dry. My eggs were good. Toast was cooked good. Sort of hard to mess up toast I guess. They sure didn’t want to come up off that butter for the toast. I guess butter is too expensive.
Apparently something weird is going on at Granny’s It’s either they have a new cook. Or possibly a new owner. I don’t know. I just know it isn’t the same.
What my family got today was actually laughable to say the least. Granny’s used to be the best in town. I hate to see them change into some ripoff shakedown joint.

We ordered a philly cheesesteak, bacon & sausage, and the goetta breakfast. The philly was supposed to come with pizza sauce, but the “pizza sauce” was ketchup. The sausage was not good and was burnt. My goetta was delicious and the only reason for 2 stars.
We watched others get food before us and we waited about 30 minutes for our food. Once we were finished and had our bill, we sat our card out. The waitress came to clean our table, then we waited another 10 minutes for her to complete payment (in which, we had to stop her and ask her to take our card).
We love supporting small businesses and Latonia spots - but we will not be back. Not worth...
