Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Covington

Visited by drive-thru. (Line was very long and slow.) Upon receiving by "bag" of food, I immediately knew there was more food coming. The girl had closed the window and turned her back. I assumed she was watching for another bag with the rest of my order in it. When she turned around, she looked surprised I was still there. She asked what I needed. I told her my order was incomplete. I tried to hand back my bag but she didn't want it. She asked to see my receipt, confirmed I was missing food and called manager (?) over. This lady was rude but finally asked that I pull up and she would bring g it out. After a 15 minute wait, I parked my car and went in. Several employees saw me approved the counter with my partial order but suddenly everyone was too busy to come speak to me. The order taker finally came back to counter to ask what I needed. The manager was watching. When I told her I never received the rest of my order, the manager stomped up front and said "well, I made it and sent it out". I replied to her that I never received it. She spun around and went to make it. As she handed it to me there wasn't a "sorry" mentioned. I said very rudely "Thank you! Now, I can go home and serve cold food". She opened her mouth to speak, I waited, she turned and walked away.

Something I did notice in the near empty restaurant was I didn't see any of the regular staff. My husband and I usually eat at this location EVERY Sunday. Today he wasn't feeling well that's why I went to the drive-thru. I'll call before going again and if the regular staff isn't there, we won't be back.

This spot already need to be closed down. Twice i have been there and the food is poor quality. I first tried Jacks in Jackson Tn and they were great. Last week I went there and got a toaster breakfast sandwich and that thick bread was toast beyond any sandwich I had ever tried before. It was so hard like stale bread and crispy I couldn’t even bite it. I just left there for the second time and spent $30. I order 2 bigger jack meals and 2 chicken finger dinners and 2 strawberry pies. First off it was hard to believe with this place just opening they didn’t have any sauce. Second the bigger jack wasn’t bigger at all looked like a double cheeseburger from McDonald’s. Third over almost half my order was left off after waiting in a long drive thru. I ordered fries and Mac with both dinners and was give one Mac and one mashed potato. Fourthly all the fries were cold and hard and the biscuits were like styrofoam and hard as well. Oh and I didn’t receive not one pie. Tried calling twice and no answer. I won’t be going back. I’m assuming anyone that is still going there is trying for the second time to give them a chance or just haven’t tried at all. I’m giving them a few months at best. Drastically need better management. They are serving what seems to be food cooked hours before you order and throwing it out the window...

On June 2,2022 we stopped to try the BLT with fried green tomatoes.It was not available.We ordered chicken fingers and they didn't have those either so we ordered 2 grilled chic sandwiches and a burger. 1 chicken sandwich was drowning in mustard and the other had lettuce and a pale tomato but I ordered mayo only. The ticket is wrong.It says no mayo on the other sandwich The service was lacking and I felt I had bothered them by stopping there. If I hadn't checked the bag I would have left without the burger and the woman at the window said nothing.I had to ask for the burger.She was going to let us drive away and not even tell us.She stuck the bag thru the window and just let it drop thru the car window. We both threw the buns away and ate the very bland chicken.I was told the burger was good. I told myself I wasn't stopping there any more after the first time but I did and was even more disappointed than the first time when I went to Jacks in another city. It was...
