I'm currently staying in the hotel across the street and thought I would like a burger before it gets too late. So I walk across the street to the restaurant. Since I'm walking, I'm hoping for my sake that the dining room is still open. The front door is locked, but the hours for both drive thru and dine in are clearly printed on a business hours decal obviously supplied by McDonald's. It's 9:45pm but thank goodness their dine in hours show clearly that they are open until 11pm. So I walk around to the far side, and that door is indeed open. So I go in and begin placing my order on the kiosk since their business hours sign clearly show they are open for another hour and 15 minutes.. A woman, who I'm going to take a guess and say is the manager, was leaning up on the drink bar talking to another employee. Possibly taking a break, i dont know. She informed me that the dining room is closed. I replied that's not what the sign on the door says. She reaffirms that the dining area is closed. As I'm headed towards the door, she says I can go ahead and place an order since I'm there. I replied no ma'am, im going to get my truck and go around like everyone else." She said ok as I walked out. So I walk back to the hotel and get the keys to my truck. Then I drove right by McDonald's and drove up the street to get a Bacon-ator combo from Wendy's. I'm glad I did so because I was back in the hotel parking lot with my meal before 10 pm. McDonald's had only moved through 2 vehicles through the drive-through, which was full at the time. All in all, I went to another restaurant and received service with a smile, my food was prepared quickly, and it was probably a better meal. Burgers tend to taste worse when tainted with poor service, poor work ethic, and poor attitude. As I am staying here for extended stay due to a prolonged business contract, I will be looking for fast food frequently. But I guarantee I will not be looking for food under those golden arches. I added a copy of their hours from their Google site. It is Thursday August 8 and I am closing this review...
Read moreAt the drive thru. I waited for what seemed like an eternity for the car line to move. I was blocked in, so I couldn't leave. When the cars finally started moving, I placed my order for my beloved fish fillet combo with the line moving decently. When I got to the window to pick up my order, I waited & waited. Several employees were standing around talking, some were drinking sodas and looking up at a screen. I waited. Finally, someone opened the window and asked what was my order. I waited some more. I wasn't driving off because I had already paid. They finally give me my Sprite and then shoved the bag out the window. As I drove off, I felt inside the bag and the fries were tepid, at best. The fish sandwich wasn't any better & felt like it had been microwaved too long and was tough. I felt around in the bag for a straw and there was not one. No pun intended, but this was the last straw. My last visit to this location, late Good Friday evening, I heard employees cursing up a storm through the window. I mean really going at it and the quality of the food was just about the same. I'll take my business elsewhere when traveling through Covington TN. Maybe then, I can get food that I can take more than one or two bites of before dumping it in the...
Read moreThe female manager was hording customers receipts and when her "boys" came in....the manager gave them all of them so they could all get free burgers by doing the online survey and told them to answer all the questions with the highest marks so her and the restaurant would look like something that they obviously wasn't which is good management and a clean establishment on top of giving them water cups for them to fill up with soda. The managers do talk down to the younger staff and if it was my child working there and they were treated in such a manner....I would make my child QUIT and call home office on them immediately! Truth is....that they ALL need a good management refresher corse in how to treat employees and customers and how to talk in a respectable manor ABSOLUTELY! (BTW...I do know for a fact that this happened because it happened when I was there that evening and...
