So I just had the worst experience in my life. We went to the Hardee's in Cowpens SC on 5/2/2019. We ordered our food at 8:06 PM and we didn't get to the window to pay until 8:20 PM. After sitting there til after 8:35 PM I decided to go inside and check on what was going on. I was greeted at the counter by a nice lady that said she had my food and asked if there was anything else that she could do. I explained my frustration that we had been waiting for over 30 minutes for our food and felt like we should be compensated in some way for the time. She politely said she couldn't but she would get her manager (Kelly) and this is where it really started to go down hill. I explained to Kelly what was going on and that we had been waiting for way to long for our food. She glanced at my receipt and tried to tell me that we had only been waiting a few minutes. When I tried to explain that the time on the receipt was the time we paid for the order not the time that we ordered the food she started to go off. She proceeded to scream at me and took my food from me. She then told me that she didn't have to give me my food nor my money back and that she would call the cops. She then starts cussing and tells me that the only reason I was arguing with her is because I am white and she was black. I feel that this woman should loose her job and if this someone that represents the Hardee's brand I will never visit another location again and will make sure that everyone I know is aware of this. The bad thing is that if they would have told me they made a mistake and they were fixing it then I would have been fine. Read more5-27-2022: Stopped in for supper after a 14.5 hour day and was starving after having an early lunch then working through the entire evening. Walked in a few minutes after 9pm, store hours suggest they are open until 10. Stood at the counter for 16 minutes, 5 ft from a lady counting money. Was never served. About 9-10 minutes, without moving to the register asked what I was going to order. Told her, she tells at dude in kitchen to make the burger. He does, places it in the window. I stare at the burger for several minutes while she continues to ignore me. Never started any fries, or acknowledged my presence again. As I stared at my burger in the window wondering how cold it would be if it ever completed the last four feet of it's epic journey from the shelf to the counter. Simultaneously wondering what conquest I would have to complete to receive fries once they realized that combo meals include them, and how much longer that would take as my burger continued to age waiting for the undertaking to be completed. Then I realized I could cook a frozen pizza in about 8 minutes instead of investing an unknown amount of additional time in receiving what was sure to be a frigid burger, and may or may not receive fries. So I abandoned my quest and spent my time and patience only to arrive home empty handed and hungry.

Read moreWent to Hardee's,as I was quite busy I opted for the drive-thru. And as usual,it was closed yet again. I saw the line inside and figured I didn't have time and left and went to the DG (Dollar General) beside it. I needed to get some medicine for my sick mother and upon standing in line a woman in front of me was standing there Hardee's apron and all...on the phone (taking everyone's time etc.) Telling the person on the other end she was supposed to be at work at Hardee's right now but kept talking and moving places back in line, ironically...the only thing she had in her hand was a single 5hr energy. I remembered the long line at Hardee's and all the facial expressions attached to those individuals and thought this is why those people's days are starting off rough,the beginning of a bad day starts at the Hardee's in Cowpens SC. Each simple inconvenience destroys customer trust...it's easy to make any excuse for the actions I've stated above but why would I listen when I know I could just go to a better,more professional restaurant instead? Gotta keep up with competition. I'm sure the drive-thru was shut down just because she needed a five hour energy or more likely,wanted to talk on the phone a bit longer and not work. ⭐⭐ Two stars is all I give... because of their unprofessionalism I never even got to rate the food they prepare,I pity those who have had to endure such...
