Cranberry Halal Pizza & Grill (All food is 100% Halal) — Restaurant in Cranberry Township

This is the second time we ordered and their food is just too good not to take the time to give them a review. Their food is flavorful, spicy but not too spicy. Well priced. And exactly what my family has been craving! Did I mention they are completely halal?? And their ham (turkey) and cheese sandwich really good. So here is a list of what we have ordered so far, our favs and ones we probably will not choose again. Burger hoagies: not bad not memorable. hot burger hoagie better than the regular but I think it’s just red hot and well it taste good just not memorable but I could see if u we’re craving a well cooked burger that was also a bit spicy Ranch pizza: great but it says it’s spicy and my family did not find it particularly spicy. That being said it was cooked to perfection and the amount of bacon and ranch sauce, cheese and peppers was (chef’s kiss) delicious!!! A traditional round pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms and bacon. This was really good and we will purchase again. However we did order bacon and the pizza did not come with bacon. Ham and cheese sandwich. Very good comes with lunch meat stacked and old school oil and vinegar and mayo. Mmm mmm! Wish other places still did that. Spicy chicken hoagie: yess!!! This is a simple breaded spicy chicken hoagie and it is EXACTLY what I have been missing in my life!!! Perfect! spinach paneer = well made fresh and it looks like they fried the paneer first. It’s chunky and really good. The chicken curry ‘meals’ : awesome tasty and super filling. They aren’t afraid to use the spices and this makes their curries and paneer stand out. They aren’t skimping. This dish was well rounded and bold. And as an American who grew up with only garlic salt used sparingly I appreciate this so much! The rice is well made and they give you a hefty portion.

Edit: stopped by to pickup non-food items in the convenience store part of the building and noted the fella who used to work there had returned. I figured I'd give another shot and got the lunch special. They still no longer offer Turkey or Ham (I initially wanted a turkey sub), instead they have that Turkeyham abomination i mentioned earlier. I passed on the Italian for this reason as well and got the steak sub instead. It was cooked well and tasted good, same with the fries. Would really be good if they'd bring regular turkey back, but all in all this was a much better experience than my last one.

Original review: Been going here for lunches fairly regularly for about 2 years now, and it was great when the old lady cooked there. Since then, it's gone downhill. Not like a small hill...like a massive cliff that bottoms out in the seventh circle of hell. I regularly got a turkey sub, and ordered that again today. Instead, I got what he called "turkey ham". I stated i wanted turkey and he just nodded and said "yes, turkey ham". Also, half the meat on my sandwich was salami mixed in with the turkey/ham abomination meat - I suspect because they are a similar color the cook combined them in the meat bin. Have went to this place for lunches over the past few years and what a downhill journey it has been. I mean, it's a run down convenience store but food used to be amazing and then the lady retired. The new guy was okay and I think myself and my co workers taught him how to make sandwiches but he got better and eventually did not have to ask us what was on the sandwiches. Now for the newest kitchen take over.....please do not stop here for food and if you do please leave before you actually order. 3 of us ordered food, 2 turkey hoagies and 1 ham. Was told the only use turkey ham even though its still the same menu posted from all the years I've went there. Staff spoke little to no English and every sandwich was made the exact same, turkey ham and salami (I think) please spend you money elsewhere. Rest easy mini mart, I'm sure you won't last long now.
