UPDATE: The owner called 2 days later after the event. Also, you didnât discount my stay because of this event, you discounted it because I had 3 dogs boarding.
My husband and I are extremely disappointed in this business! We had all 3 of our dogs boarding here while we were on vacation. Upon dropping our pups off, we provided prescription eye drops for one of our 3 dogs. When we picked the pups up, 5 days later, our dogs eyes were bright red, extremely irritated and had drainage from both and the eye drops we provided were never even opened! (Safety seal still intact). I called to speak to the owner/manager and instead an employee called and left a VM stating that they were âsorryâ and that âthey noticed his eyes had drainage and were redâ and they âwere going to give him his eye drops but didnâtâ. These were prescription eye drops with clear directions! I will never bring one of our dogs to this business ever again and I would strongly warn anyone against boarding here. They are clearly managed very poorly and are not capable of providing the appropriate care for our dogs despite the hefty $165/night charge we paid for our 3 dogs to stay here! Also our dog beds came home soaked in dog urine. We are so glad our dogs are home safe and sound but we are distraught that they clearly were not cared for the way we had hoped while...
Read moreIâve attached the corporate description which was the total opposite of what happened to my 1.5 year old pug, Gus! I was watching the video at 2:18 to see my boy after his 2 hour nap. I was appalled to watch him being mounted and then 9 minutes later bring humped by another dog. I immediately called and received a voicemail prompt to which I explained the situation and asked for someone to please go and help him. Another 4 minutes of watching, he was able to get himself away from the other dog and hid in the corner to which I wasnât able to see him. The dog went to the corner to find Gus and Gus ran in front of the camera. Around 2:38, a lady came in the room and put down new water bowls but did not see or stop the interaction. I called again and once again left a voicemail. Finally, after a minute or two, I called and left an angry message and asked to be called immediately. It wasnât until my husband picked up Gus and told them how angry we were did they call me! Another excuse (Iâve reached out several times about the lack of human connection) and was promised that things would improve. I cried most of the evening after I saw Gusâ rectum and am taking him to the vet . BEWAREâŚ.NO ONE LOVES YOUR DOG...
Read moreWe boarded our dog here for roughly 11 days. She has anxiety being away from us so we sent a prescription to help her relax. Come to find out they never gave it to her. They said upon pickup that she did well there and didnât need it. Once I had her home I noticed two large hot spots she has chewed into herself. She is also limping and favoring two legs.
It took 3 days for the owner to call me back. At which point he blew off everything I said. He claims they never saw her large hotspots or her limping. I am beyond livid!!
We have a vet appointment for X-rays coming up this week. When I boarded my dog I wasnât expecting this lack of care!
I donât believe Dogtopia truly cares about any of their dogs, they feed them and occasionally clean the floor/crate. I have never seen any staff actually pet or love on any dog here.
I also will say the amount of times I have looked on the webcam and seen the dogs alone in the rooms is disturbing. Very clearly understaffed.
Since I have posted my review on Facebook I have heard further horror stories of dogs being locked in crates for 19 hours a day on weekends, water withheld over night, no beds or medications being given.
Do NOT bring...
