We go here due to the salad bar being free for a toddler who doesn’t like to eat at restaurants. The food is usually decent, but the service is more often than not terrible. We’ve had the same young server several of the times we’ve been there recently. She is terrible. It’s common for her to not check on us the entire time we’re there. She has a definite “I don’t care” attitude.
Today we got her again. We were one of only two tables in the restaurant. The two tables behind us were stacked with dishes and not cleaned off. The manager and the three servers that were working sat at a table gossiping. Our server checked on us once to get us drinks. She picked up our empty cup and dropped it in a stack of empty cups on the table behind us that hadn’t been cleared since the last group that ate there. When she finally brought our check she said she’d take it whenever we were ready. She sat back down at the table with the manager, other servers, and someone from the kitchen while we sat there with the card on the table for...
Read moreI visited this place during the pandemic. The restaurant was very clean and all staff were properly wearing their face masks. There was only one other couple in the building at the same time as me but I did see how they have tables marked as no seating to maintain proper lengths between diners. You can still order food from the kitchen or order the buffet. The buffet is set up that everyone only walks in 1 direction as well as disposable gloves are provided for when you touch spoons, ladles, tongs etc. You are expected to wear your mask while moving (only remove at table while actively eating or drinking) Bread can be provided for you if you ask to have it brought out but it is not currently on the buffet. My waitress was very friendly and my service was prompt. I'd go back if the parking lot wasn't full for sure because they really do provide a safe atmosphere to dine. The building itself was clean as were the restrooms. I have ate here many times in the past and can say have had almost entirely positive...
Read moreThis was my first time ever trying Hoss’s. The waitstaff was very professional and helped to make the experience as pleasurable as possible. In regards to the food, I would never eat here again. The salad bar was $12.99 which is about standard for “all you can eat” dining. The salad plates were so small that everyone’s toppings from their salads would fall off back into the salad bar. The soup’s were mediocre. The nacho bar was very lame. Chips, salsa, jalapeños, and sour cream…that’s it. The deserts were actually pretty good, just don’t try to gummy bears. Think of a piece of juicy fruit gum mixed with sticky tack and that would be Hoss’s gummy bears. The dining areas were very run-down and dated. I know that this review may seem very extreme, but it is the honest truth. Once again, the staff was very friendly and professional, but the food was bad. Please save your money and eat somewhere else....
