I must try this place again to give a proper review, I have a feeling this may be a diamond in the rough 5 star deli but I didn't give them a fair chance. I'm a handicapped heavy set female and I forgot to eat so I wasn't as excited as I normally am to try the place. I didn't get to get a full view of the menu because their menu is a board posted to the wall and having dizzy spells I needed to sit down. Honestly i seen a tough looking older gentleman behind the counter and I was waiting for a what do you want attitude but was greeted we with a pleasant may I help you. The man in line behind us was in senior biker in a leather jacket with a little snap to his talk which scared me for a second but I learned he couldn't hear me and wasn't a mean person. I saw traditional deli sandwiches listed as well as a small collection of pastries and coffee. My son ordered a grill cheeses sandwich and my sister and I were hesitant to order but tried anyway. Blueberry muffins. Blueberry scones, apple turnover iced and Blueberry coffee which I did not really want but was so happy I did. The gentleman suggested it and I normally would like a Jamaican coffee or any thing normal but I tried and was not disappointed. The coffee was fresh creamy placed knbice with no after taste. It even smelled like Blueberries it was refreshing. My son loved his grilled cheese sandwich, I wasn't a big fan personally but thats only because I'm not use to it being so literal. However, my son wanted another one. I took the pastries home and had it for breakfast. It was all perfectly sweet filling and delicious. I must go back for sandwich and more coffee. They have other drinks in the refrigerator if you're not interest in that, I need to try a cookie too. Wish the price wasn't as high but its that type of area and delicious so it's fine. The place was clean and relaxing like a little step back in time. I'm pretty sure I was the loudest customer. It was nice. I need to ry a bagel to see if it live up to it's name Bagel...
Read moreBagel Express has set a ridiculously high standard that will depressingly ruin every subsequent bagel I have, here in Rhode Island, and likely wherever I go.
I have never actually eaten a bagel before today, and the sense of wasted time in not eating bagels up to this point in my life now hurts me on an emotional level.
Going all in on the specials board in a panic, I ended up with an “everything bagel” with egg, cheese and ham. This random decision was serendipitous, as it turned out to be delicious.
I didn’t get the name of the bloke serving, but they were very knowledgeable about all things bagel related, and really sold me on their “steamed bagel” vs “boiled bagel” approach (I am now firmly in the steamed bagel camp, and will die needlessly on this hill with minimal prompting).
In summary, it was fresh, delicious and great value for money, and the customer service will likely see me returning on a weekly basis.

The staff, The two men work well as a team They both help each other out The younger one is a quick thinker and despite being out of one ingredient , can quickly suggest a great substitute for it still delivering a very breakfast meal
The more seasoned man, he has what you need to hear and a positive shinning additude a great way to boost your mood before you head towards work.
The prices are somewhat high, the area and over head make this understandable. You will NOT get quality and speed of service like this at any drive thru and it is justvas quick
The restaurant is climate control and offers...
