Adorable little shop in a beautiful village, amazing flavors all made by them. They even have flavors for the month where they change it up. I had 3 different scoops each time I go, the most recent was birthday cake, Carmel cheesecake cookie monster, and campfire stores. Thier flavors are amazing and fresh with the perfect texture. The ice cream is soft but not quick to melt. Some of their ice cream has actually bite size pieces in it like birthday cake has small bites of actual birthday cake in it and it's like eating actual cake and ice cream. The cake is cold but not frozen or wet with their sweet creamy ice cream, I see would suggest it. They even have many topping and more like banana splits or ice cream sandwich. Try it and thank me later. You can eat the ice cream outside at the picnic table by the water. It's an amazing view and quiet setting. Almost like going...
Read moreI love Dear Hearts Ice Cream and have been going to the one in Pawtuxet Village for decades. Usually, my review would be 5 stars, because the ice cream is delicious and, usually, the service is friendly and efficient. My most recent visit, 5:30pm on Sunday May 23, I was told it can't be made in a waffle cone. They said it's too messy. I mentioned that it's been made there for me for years. The reply was, "Technically, we're not supposed to do that." When I asked to have it made in a waffle bowl then, they said they didn't have any waffle bowls. Has there been a change in Management or policy that doesn't allow toppings in a...
Read moreI grew up in this town and regularly went to Dear Hearts. With this information in mind, I can confidently say that the quality has remained consistent for as long as I've been going! The seasonal/weekly flavors are definitely worth a try, although the dark chocolate raspberry truffle was also fantastic. However, the prices were a little much. I came here and spent $20 on three small ice creams, which seems extreme for the amount served. Inflation and supply/demand are definitely factors, but I can make the assumption that Dear Hearts is not affordable on a regular basis. In addition, the manager of this location has shown brusqueness and a lack of discretion in their replies to customer reviews. This quality makes me hesitant to return and buy the (admittedly...
