Been hearing great things about this place, so decided to give it a try. They have been in business here for 14 years and have a non stop take out business that tells you they are doing things right. The pizza was very good, with extremely generous portions of toppings and everyone working there seems very focused on you being satisfied. For me, their red sauce was overly sweet and I prefer my toppings on top of the cheese so they can get direct heat, especially the pepperoni, love it when it’s charred, no char here. Lastly the dough for me was somewhat more dense and compact vs light and airy especially for the grandma square pan style that it is. As a side note, I didn’t like the pizza being placed in what amounts to a plastic cafeteria tray, anything else would be preferable. That said, I am in the minority as this place has an amazing fan base and I love to see people as dedicated as they are to their craft. We need more family businesses like...
Read moreFirst time getting pizza here and I was pleasantly surprised! Ordered a medium pepperoni and roasted garlic pizza for takeout. When I picked it up I noticed they put red bell peppers instead of pepperonis and when I mentioned it to the staff, they quickly took it back to add the pepperonis no extra charge. Very friendly cashier when I went. I was surprised how big the "medium" size is; can't imagine how much bigger the large is. It's a very filling pizza because of the crust style. It also had lots of sauce and cheese which is a big plus for me. They certainly didn't skimp on the toppings either which is super important. Initially, I thought the price was on the higher side ($23 for a medium) but after seeing the size, the amount of toppings, and the quality of the pizza, I think it's worth the price. Overall, pretty darn good pizza and much better than some other local places in Cranston. Will definitely be coming back...
Read moreIt's not often a pizzeria surprises you. Catanzaros looks like your basic mom and pop pizza joint from the parking lot. But as I'm walking in I'm holding the door for a guy going out with 5 pizza boxes. I ordered ahead, so mine is almost ready. I look around. Two guys are waiting for take out. Each of them take multiple pizzas. My family sits down and the pizza comes. It's a masterpiece. The crust is crispy and chewy and soft and buttery. The toppings are chunky and juicy, caressed so softly by the melted cheese and a sauce unsurpassed. Every bite is a new experience, full of flavor and texture. I remark to my family that this "is how someone's grandmother made it. " The service was attentive and informative, the ambiance was somewhere between fancy Italian and corner pizza joint. But the food is out of this world. If you haven't been there, go...
