My wife and l had a very good dining experience at Macera's. They are meeting all covid standards and yes you can dine inside this very cozy warm comfortable restaurant. The waitress was very professional and courteous. We did not feel rushed. She took care of us. Bread and water on the table? A big yes thank you. Starting with a 2 quahog appetizer. Best l have had. Tasty and large cooked so the top is crisp like it should be. The next entree was the soup, Chicken escarole. It was good and brought hot to the table. Hot the way we like it. The way it should be. My wife had fish and chips. The fish was a good size and crisp ( she has enough for lunch tomorrow) as she asked for a container to take it home. I had algio e olio with black olives and anchovies. Excellent Like my grandparents used to make it. Enough to fill any guy who is hungry. Very satisfying😀🇮🇹 We did not stay for dessert coffee or an after dinner drink. Next time we will do just that. And.... There will be a next time!! Hope to see you there!! A recommendation if you will allow me. I would get a water filter for the water and icemaker. Our water is safe but has a taste of chem. to it. I had a tonic water but the ice gave it that chem.water taste. My wife didn't notice it at all. I drink bottled water because of the taste. Not a slight just a recommendation. This place is 5 🌟 all day.

I'm sorry but this was truly a waste of money, I don't suggest ordering from here around closing time... I'm hoping that is the only reason why there were chunks of meat in what was supposed to be meatballs & linguine. If I was 99 years old, missing teeth and taste buds, the half of a Meatball I ate would have been fine, but since I can taste and enjoy chewing my food, I would have appreciated some actual meat taste and texture...Pasta sauce is not meant to "make the whole meal" and did nothing for the linguine's texture either. The rest of the food we ordered was ok at best and I don't know about anyone else but old toasted Italian bread with chunks of garlic on it is not what I expect from a good Italian restaurant. It could just be that I've been close to restaurants on the Hill for most of my life.

Beautiful ambiance. Our waitress was great. Went to the ladies room to wash hands before eating an the soap was out. Told the waitress and waited in the restroom for over 5 minutes with no one coming to refill it. I ended up using the men's room. Our food was at the table by the time I returned. The food came out quickly. The kids chicken and french fries were really good. The bread was fresh and I loved how they served it with room temperature butter. I enjoyed the cheese on the margherita pizza but the menu said marinara sauce and it came with sliced tomato, which I took off. The white clam chowder was okay. I also ordered the side of eggplant parmigiana and wasn't a fan, it wasn't bad, just didn't like it. My husband got the chicken parmigiana and he didn't like it.

We have been going to this place for years at this location and the previous ones. Even though it's average and the chef loads everything with garlic I order around that so I can taste the food and not garlic. But I can tell everyone out there DO NOT GO EAT HERE. We ordered a snail salad for 20$ and Fish Franchese. I ordered the snail salad as my meal and my wife the fish for hers. They bring out the snail salad and about 5 mins later the soup that comes with the fish dinner. My wife eats her soup and gave me some so she ate some snail salad while I ate the rest of her soup. A few minutes later her dish comes out and the waitress asked if I want the snail salad in a box I look at her and say no I am eating it thank you I am not even halfway done. She takes the empty cup of soup and comes back with the fish dinner She brings that and extra dishes now we are at a table for two and no where to put these dishes so we give her the bread dishes and one of the dishes she brought out to table back to her my wife eats her fish I finish my snail salad and half the fish leftover and vegetables and potatoes so we asked her to put in a box to take home and then the big surprise comes I get the check give my credit card and waitress walks away I in turn say to my wife I think there's an error on bill. She comes back I notice a 5$ add on charge for eating out of each others dishes it said we shared a meal. So I kindly asked what's this for because this never happened before she said you shared your food I said I ordered the snail salad as my meal and the fish for her meal so with the add on 5$ my snail salad ended up costing more than he fish dinner so I could have gotten the fish dinner and saved a dollar and who says you determine what I eat for my meal. They refused to refund the 5$ but lost two loyal customers and I will make sure to tell everyone on social media and all my Cranston neighbors and neighborhood not to ever go to this place again can you imagine robbing someone 5$ and btw with the tip it was over 60$. But enjoy the 5$ because in the end you will lose many customers going forward. You might want to start checking TikTok because I will have you trending for this and it's not about the money it's your greed. And BTW your snails were old and spoiled so I had to spit them out they were so disgusting. Nice try with your response but that doesn't work with me. Keep the 5$ you seem to need it more than me and I'm glad you responded this way because I have spread this information all over TikTok so you grabbing 5$ for your greed will cost you much more in the end penny wise dollar foolish is what you are. BTW READ CLOSELY FRANCHESE. And no your waitress said they don't remove the garlic if you ask because it's an Italian restaurant. Well maybe you might want to go to Italy and learn the saying heavy handed it's a big no in Italy but your style...

I am very sorry to say I am quite an honest person actually I am not sorry to say that I'm an honest person I'm very proud to be an honest person. I just don't like hurting anyone's feelings but this is a rating in a review so I must be honest and put everything else aside. Marchetti's I gave me one I've been to Marchetti's several times and on every occasion that I have been to Marchetti's I was not happy I was not satisfied I was not impressed by no means. The staff are great the decor is just fine but the food on the other hand is a little Bland to say the least. The atmosphere seems to be okay it seems everybody knows everybody and you always love to go somewhere where everybody knows your name LOL not that I'm in making the show but it is nice to go somewhere where everybody does know your name and have a meal. I believe people go because of the amount of food that is given they're huge, but with that said the food is not good they need to revamp the whole thing. As far as the food goes I know you give out good size amount of food for their money but the food is very Bland like I said it has no taste it really has nothing and I have tried several different dishes spaghetti and meatballs I've had the lasagna I took one bite and I was gone and mind you I paid in full on all the occasions that I went because I said to myself you know there's got to be something some plate or dish here that taste good because a lot of people come I just haven't found it yet I've been to Marchetti's at least 10 times and have ordered something different each time and as of yet I have not found that plate that I'm looking for or that dish that I am looking for that just over-the-top and delicious I'm still waiting. Like I said I don't like hurting people's feelings and Marchetti's has been around for ages it just needs a little help in the seasoning Department other than that it could be a great restaurant you give quite a bit of food everybody knows everybody it's a nice place to stop and it's close it's convenient it's roomy. But other than that I think people just stopped in to have a few beers or a drink because I surely don't understand what they see in the food other than other than the quantity you know. I look at other tables and I see people putting massive salt and pepper on their food you shouldn't have to do that if it's seasoned just right or marinated perfectly in any case sorry Marchetti's but I should have gave you a half-assed are you really need to work on the taste of the food not the quantity but...

My wife and I had takeout last night. Parking is tight, when very busy. One can park on either side of the building, but both sides of the building's parking lot aren't accessible, as you can't drive behind the back of the building to access the other side. Since the business is located at a corner, if the right side lot(going north) is full, one would need to back out onto the side street, which isn't very busy, and either wait for a spot or go to the other side. There is a traffic light to get back onto Reservoir Avenue, but then you would have to turn left, against the traffic, to gain access to the left hand lot. I would rate this place for food, service, cleanliness and efficiency about a 9.5 out of 10 as the food is excellent, ready on time, good customer service, and efficient and organized check out area. If the take out were to get busy though, the main entrance could get a little crowded, as there is no separate entrance, just for takeout, from the main dining room, which is small, and quaint. For about $45, my wife got Chicken Francaise, which was juicy, and flavorful. I had the Veal Parmagiana, which was also great , and the pasta was tender, and not overcooked. We also got 2 side salads, Italian bread, which came with the order, I rated it a 9.5 above, as they have a homemade Italian dressing up that is bomb, but they forgot to put it in the bags, which were all already knotted closed. All in all, their in dining service is candlelit, courteous waitstaff, and fair pricing. Give it a try and I think you will return for other menu selections. Happy...
