I can’t say this was the worst American breakfast experience, but it certainly wasn’t the best.

I ordered breakfast on a busy day, so obviously I had to start with a cappuccino. It was strong with perfect coffee:milk:foam ratio.

I got a breakfast sandwich classic- sausage, egg and cheese. The obscene amount of black pepper in the sausage, and I say this as a black pepper lover, completely overpowered the egg and cheese. More importantly, they were sandwiched between two pieces of sour dough bread disproportionate to the filling, so on either side of the sandwich there were gaps of just dry bread. Yes, I did request sour dough, but I wasn’t expecting this ratio issue.

The bacon was crispy, the potatoes were okay, the scrambled eggs were an average scrambled egg experience. The ham was a bit too salty for my taste. I didn’t have any breakfast sausage links, but when I asked my sister who did, she said they were not overly peppered, and she enjoyed them.

Also, no ketchup packets were included:(

Now, when I saw the croissant waffle I was very excited, but after having it I was left with mixed feelings. The first two bites I experienced the crunch of the buttery exterior, and a bite of the mochi-like center. Creative and scrumptious! However, on the third bite when I got a mouthful of the chewy center, I couldn’t help but be aware that I was eating undercooked dough. I would like to give the croissant waffle another chance. Maybe, getting one with toppings, instead of plain, would make a...

I really wanted to like this place but it was not a good experience. We waited for a table for 25 minutes despite having a reservation. The hostess was also the person cleaning and clearing out the tables (hence the wait). There was someone that was wiping down all utensils right in the front. I had to get my own utensils and wait as he searched through the cutlery for kid utensils. We waited over an hour for our food and it was wrong. This was the same experience for everyone there. The lady behind me waited over an hour. Her husband’s food came out and hers never did. Not once did a waiter check. The food wasn’t special certainly not worth the wait. My western omelette was undercooked. I really hope I don’t get sick. At least three times servers dropped glassware and it shattered everywhere.

I have some honest feedback for the restaurant and hope they take it because I see potential here. you need a waiter to scan the space, check if people have water, refill coffee etc. you need to rethink how you’re using your people on the floor. Who’s taking orders? How many baristas do you have ? having 2 cooks on a weekend (especially when the place is supposed to be a weekend spot) is not good practice if you know you’re overwhelmed, the printer isn’t working, etc, you should be honest with customers so that they can make a choice about whether to stay or go

I want to be clear that the waiters were not bad they had no direction. There was no...

I was so excited to try this place for a couple weeks and we had just attended a funeral as a family and wanted a place to get brunch nearby. I brought my family here. there was a big party going on in the back which is okay, but at least have adequate staff to serve customers that walk in on a busy saturday. we waited about 30 mins for a table which was fine, but a waiter did not come up to our table until 25 minutes later. then, they took our orders, we did not get our coffees, and then 7 out of 11 people got their food. no one came to check on us the entire time. everyone was finishing up and then the waiter finally brought the remaining food. everyone’s food was cold. it was not a good experience and we were excited to try, and then also being a rough day for us as a family we wish we would’ve gotten better service and food. When we expressed our concerns to the manager, he turned his back while we were talking and started laughing with another worker (?). It was rude. Our waiter, who was nice, gave us our check and we requested some type of discount for the terrible experience. He worked with us and gave us 20% off. I think the waiter for our table was the only reason we will leave 2...

I visited Café Weekend early this morning and absolutely loved the experience. The place was quiet and peaceful, which allowed me to truly enjoy every detail. The service was quick and friendly. I started with a matcha einspanner that was perfectly sweet and creamy—absolutely delicious. Then I had the avocado toast with two sunny-side-up eggs, served with a fresh, well-hydrated arugula salad and crispy potatoes with ketchup. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The restroom was spotless and beautifully decorated, which is always a plus. The overall décor is lovely, with soft colors, floral details, and a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. They also have a kids’ menu, making it a great spot for families. Another plus is that they have parking available, although I’ve heard it can fill up quickly on weekends. Overall, Café Weekend is a beautiful, clean, and delicious place perfect for a relaxed breakfast or an unhurried brunch.
