Food is your typical “fast food” meals and atmosphere the same. The only issue I had at this Whataburger was that my burger did not come with cheese on it. Yes, I know, you must specifically ask for cheese when you order – which I did. I went back to the counter to ask if I could get cheese and showed my receipt, the guy was nice, apologized, and went to the back for cheese. The girl working the grill was rude and snappy. He nicely asked for a slice of cheese and she snapped back “did they ORDER cheese, and did you ASK them when they ordered? They HAVE to say they want cheese when they order”. He said that I did and showed the receipt. I could hear what I believe to be the manager say, “just give him the cheese, it’s not that big of a deal”. Well she gave him the cheese alright – literally just an opened slice of cheese no wrapper/cover/napkin/plate/box/etc. He came back to me and handed me the cheese by hand. I took it and just stared. I was literally given a slice of cheese by two different people that wasn’t wrapped or protected in any way. I said I wanted another because it had been touched. He agreed, apologized, and took the cheese back to get another. He told the same girl he needed another slice but wrapped up and she snapped her head to look up at me and rolled her eyes. She apparently got another, but who knows if it wasn’t the same slice. This is a serious thing – it’s how people get sick. I wasn’t making a big deal about it either. If anything should be taken away from this, I would hope the manager and employees learn that customers can hear you even when you’re in the back, don’t handle raw cheese and give it to a customer that way, and that all you have to do is make sure the customer is happy. In this case, if she would have put cheese on my burger to begin with, like my order said, she wouldn’t have been “troubled” by all this. Read moreOk so if youre reading this take me serious. Ive lived in this area for 20 years and im under 30. I love whataburger but i think now im going to stop eating it atleast here in florida cause it seems to be more of a florida thing. But this specific restaurant is the bottom pit. Atleast once or twice a week i use the drive thru at 5:30-6am. Never anybody in the line and if there is people its like 1 maybe 2 cars but typically none. Anyways the fact that every week they kept messing up my entire meal. 4 times i got sausage sandwhiches instead of bacon (i dont eat sausage, and my receipt always said bacon bob which means bacon breakfast on a bun). The other 2 times my sweet tea was unsweet (easy mistake to make but come on we are in the south who the heck drinks unsweet!), and now this is the 2nd time my hashbrowns werent fully cooked and soggy like they took them out early to “be fast service”. During lunch when they are busy i get way better service even tho its not great service the food quality definitely improves but i eat their breakfast cause it seems the most authentic to me (yes i know bacon and eggs can still be fake but taste the most real). I used to work at whataburger when i was 16 and i took my job more seriously then these grown folks. I get everyone needs a job but the quality of food and customer service is terrible. I know this review doesnt bother them but i hope the viewers of this listen to me. They will mess your order up multiple times (they will get it corrected but after 2 times it just feels like they dont care) i don’t understand how they make $16/hr and dont care about food quality/accuracy but when i was 16 getting paid $7.67 (2012 min wage) and made sure everyone got good food and good service and yes i made mistakes but not this dang kuch on a consistent basis. Read moreThis store absolutely cannot get thier crap together. Last 3 times I ordered from here all my orders were given to me wrong. Missing items or completely wrong order. The first time I ordered online for delivery and both of the side sauces that I paid extra for was missing. Second time I'm went through the drive through in the early morning for aome dinner after finishing a 12 hour night shift. I waited 15 minutes in the drive through just to be handed the wrong order. I recieved the order of the person in front of me, thank goodness I checked the bag before driving off. Then I had to sit in the drive through for an additional 10 minutes to wait for them to make my order. Almost 30 minutes sitting in the drive through...absolutely ridiculous. Third time I ordered online through the Whataburger app and didn't recieve an onions ring and a French fry as part of a meal. I call the restaurant and the employee tells me I have to get with doordash for a refund. I think not! I ordered the food through Whataburger store and door dash is just the delivery service. If I go in my doordash app there will be no record of the order in history cause I didn't order it with doordash. I ended up having to contact whataburger customer service about the missing meals items just for the system to tell me they will get back to me in 2-3 business days! So now I have to make ANOTHER online delivery order for the items I was missing so my family can eat and spend even more money.
