Aurelio's Pizza of Crete — Restaurant in Crete

I'm 45 years old and have grown up eating Crete Aurelios pizza. It has always been my favorite pizza. I moved to Wisconsin 20 years ago but every time we come back home to visit, I always order at least two fiesta pizzas, always extra sauce, and always from the Crete location. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and after a 2nd time of receiving subpar pizza, I will be saying goodbye to an old friend, much to my dismay. This time, my husband made a solo trip, and I paid $60 for two cheese pizzas in an online order. Extra sauce (paid for and included in the purchase price aforementioned) and easy cheese (specified in the online instructions). My husband returned home hours later and I opened the box expecting to see the familiar lines of extra sauce across the pizzas and instead saw nothing. The sauce that was added was minimal, making the pizza dry, and for the second time, the crust tasted undercooked and more like bread than a pizza crust. I'm unsure if the "easy cheese" instructions were received, but my uncertainty should speak volumes as this is a pizza I've been eating since early childhood, made this way, and I couldn't tell. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I am heartbroken. I look forward to my Aurelio's a couple times a year and have even ordered them frozen and had them delivered to Wisconsin from Illinois. It's my hope that this review may help to contribute to an improvement in the quality in the future; however, we won't be spending any more money on this subpar pizza-like cheese bread until such an improvement has been made clear by the company themselves. Whoever handles the phone orders for take out should get retrained. We’ve ordered take out from Crete Aurelio’s numerous of times the last two years. Without fail there has been incidents these orders have been wrong granted they have always accommodated their mistakes with credits, but last night order was our last straw. I want to start off by saying we are very patient people. I have 7 years of experience working in the food service industry so I understand mistakes happen. My husband placed an order for a small pizza fries and boneless bbq wings. When he got home he noticed the wings were dipped in buffalo sauce (this isn’t the first or second time this has happened). Since he couldn’t recall if he had said buffalo or bbq we decided to place another other order and just deal with the lost. This time I was in the room as he placed the order on speaker phone. He stated that he wanted bbq and the girl on the phone repeated the words bbq. He went picked up the order brought it home. To our surprise and frustration the wings were again dipped in buffalo. I called spoke to whichever lady answered the phone. She really didn’t seem to care or be apologetic towards our situation. I asked for a manager. The manager that I spoke to was very kind and understanding he wanted to give us a credit , but at that point we just wanted our money back.They did give us a full refund on the new ordered wings, but it will be sometime before we order from here again, which is a shame because my husband...

Took my daughters here one evening. We had Cindy as our waiter. Clearly she was flustered, don't work well under pressure and is forgetful.

We were sitting near a large party who was apparently too loud for Cindy. She came to our table, attempted to take our order but because she couldn't hear (her exact words) because of the loud party near our table, she left and didn't come back until that party was gone.

Issue #2, I had to get up twice to find her because it was taking to long for her to bring items I requested. She admitted both times that she forget (she apologized).

Final issue, I ordered the birthday girl the kid's meal, pepperoni pizza. When Cindy brought the food, it was all cheese (no pepperoni). I pointed out to her that the pizza was incorrect and was missing the pepperoni. Cindy leaves to go to the kitchen. Instead of bringing the correct order, she brought a bowl of cold pepperoni.
