Cone Cottage — Restaurant in Crete

Customer of 10 yrs here. You can’t mess up ice cream, that’s the only “decent” thing that can come from this place. No management in sight. Never an adult in the building. Ran by a bunch of troublesome teens. Watched one of the staff members hit a vape/weed pen, whom was clearly a minor. Not to mention half of the staff is very visibly not sober, it’s ridiculous, they don’t even hide it anymore. Tried ordering ice cream, just overheard a bunch of girls cussing and screaming at each other about drama. To whoever previously owned cone cottage, we miss you. Clearly these new owners have no clue what they’re doing, they hire a bunch of idiots, seems as though they’re occupied on something else, considering they can’t even have a manager on duty… speaking of which, also saw the manager for the first time, she was also hitting a vape/weed pen, IN the “kitchen”.Can’t even get ice cream in a cone anymore. Don’t even bother with the “sloppy jo’s”, disgusting, tastes like it came out of a bag and wasn’t actually made correctly. I cant even put into words how...

A few weeks ago I called and preordered an icecream pie which was very good ! A couple of weeks after that I called to preorder another one as was told I couldn’t do that and had to come and order in person ! I asked how long it would take to prepare because I was told I could not pre order and was told 2 minutes! I came up to order one for a party I was hosting and it took over 20 minutes, I live less than 5 minutes away and by the time I got home it was pure liquid and did not freeze by the time of the party and the worst part was there was a sign hanging on the window that advertised to pre order pies . This past Sunday I called to see if you had no sugar vanilla ice cream and was told yes ! When I got there after waiting in line for 20 minutes I ceased told they didn’t have any. Employees seem to get confused when there's lots of customers on the patio. Ordered four things when it was my turn in line, and they call out each item as they're completed instead of giving them out together, so the hot fudge sundae I got first was melted by the time I got the Oreo shake 5-10 minutes later. It might have been faster if someone else hadn't taken my shake, so I was standing there waiting for nothing. Luckily one of the employees finally asked what I was waiting for and remade it, but overall I was disappointed. One of my sundaes was made incorrectly with pecans and had to be remade. Lucky I didn't have an allergy. The dessert itself is fine. It's soft serve ice cream, so you can't mess it up even if you tried.
