Exceptional Service That Made Father’s Day Extra Special
This year, my sister—who lives out of state—sent our father a Starbucks e-gift card for Father’s Day. Since he’s currently homebound and unable to get out, she sent it to me to pick something up on her behalf. I stopped by the Starbucks in Crete, IL, and let me tell you… they did not disappoint.
From the moment I drove up, I was met with genuine kindness and outstanding customer service. I explained the situation to the barista (I wish I had gotten his name!), and he went above and beyond to help me create a thoughtful surprise for our dad.
He carefully packaged the order, added extra touches to make it feel gift-worthy, and even used regular tissue paper in the most creative way—transforming it into something that looked just like gift bag filler. ✨That level of care, thoughtfulness, and creativity didn’t go unnoticed. 🥰My sister was blown away by the presentation when I sent her photos.

As a loyal customer who visits Starbucks daily, I always look forward to enjoying my favorite coffee drink. However, I've noticed a recurring problem that has started to affect my experience. This morning, I ordered my usual drink, but once again, it was filled with an excessive amount of ice. The ice was packed so heavily from top to bottom that there was very little coffee left in the cup. After finishing my drink, I let the ice melt to see how much was used, and to my surprise, nearly half of the cup was just water. This indicates that the amount of coffee I received was significantly less than expected. I understand that iced drinks require ice, but when it’s overdone to the point where it dilutes the beverage, it diminishes the quality of the experience. As someone who enjoys Starbucks regularly, I would really appreciate it if this issue could be addressed. Perhaps the baristas could be reminded to strike a better balance with the ice so that customers can fully enjoy...
Read moreThis was my first time in this particular Starbucks & after my visit, I really wished I wouldn't have stopped in. I wasn't "greeted" when I walked in... which is NO PROBLEM at all. What was disappointing was the fact that I was the only one in the establishment on a Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and the 3 workers that were behind the counter... were only interested in taking care of the customers in the drive-thru lane. 😐 I waited 10 minutes before an older gentleman came over to the counter and took my order. After he took the order, he just walked away, back to the drive-thru window. I totally understand being busy and I'm sure they wanted to get the drive-thru line "down"... but a customer that comes in to your store should be treated the same. To top everything off, the drink I ordered was not what I received & at that point, I just took it... there was no point in waiting another 5 - 10 minutes to let...
