Tommy's Red Hots — Restaurant in Crystal Lake

I tried sending this via their website, but after clicking the 'send' button, nothing happens. So instead of handling it privately, it'll be public:

I went to pick up a burger at Tommy's in Crystal Lake, as I don't have time to cook. I noticed that the cooks had a stack of burger patties already precooked and they would just be warming up the patty to make my burger.

This didn't bother me much as it seemed that the crew was cleaning the grill. Not great, because I go to Tommy's to get a grilled burger, not something that feels like leftovers, but ok....

When I start eating the burger, it was barely even lukewarm when I got it. It was the most disappointing and lazily put together burger I've ever gotten.

At this point, why not go to McDonald's and get their premade trash instead of Tommy's? Please keep up the quality of your food, it's the only reason I go to Tommy's instead of a fast food chain.

Cooks and staff are usually great, I'm hoping today was just an off...

I mean enough is enough at this place, for the love of god please just right down the orders, you have to speak the order and they are like ok and then there always major confusion at the register, then you as the customer have to chime in and explain again what your ordered, so the orders are always wrong when you get them, they can't comprehend how to make a beef sandwich correctly and last but not least and the most disgusting, no one wears gloves at this place I'm mean come on get some people in there that understand and know what they're doing, seems like this place is always dead and I wonder why. Come on Tommys you can do better at this crystal lake location please ! Oh wait not to mention the pizza they leave sitting in the heated case all day that is hard as a rock, if it's not fresh stay away...

We used to come here every time we traveled through the area and actually go out of our way to go there. We used to live in the area. I was always impressed on how the man behind the counter could remember the orders and not write them down. The food was always great. We were there recently and it seems they changed owners? The Italian beef is still good, I ordered a Chicago hotdog. There was no poppyseed bun and way too much mustard so that the bun fell apart. The hot dog itself didn’t taste the same either.They used to have booths with soft seats which were nice for elderly people. All they have now are long tables and small bar stools to sit on which was an option before. Hard to be comfortable. It’s a different person taking orders. I was disappointed and we probably won’t go out of our way...
