Food was ok, definitely not special. However, the ordering process and delivery was poor. I placed my order, two dinner entrees, then gave the place my address. They said "you need to order more food, we won't come out there for less than $30." I live in Cary, approx 8-10 driving minutes away from the restaurant. I said no, I only want the food I ordered. He said he wont send the driver to my house for the roughly $22 my order was because his driver wouldn't make any money. I reluctantly agreed to add a $6 appetizer. Restaurant does not give me the total. 40 minutes go by, the driver says he is lost - I live right in town, not hard to find. 10 minutes later the food arrives. There is a $5 delivery charge tacked on, my total is $33 and change. I ask the driver if he gets the delivery charge as compensation, he said it depends and confusingly explains how he is compensated, which I do not follow. So the driver gets an automatic $5 in delivery fees and then expects additional "tips". I have been in delivery field before, and solely as a tipped driver with no guaranteed rate per delivery, so I know the difference. Your service was substandard and you still made $6.50 for your delivery with tip- not bad.
The portions that came appear to be exactly the same as what would be in a lunch portion, small to medium, except the price was over $10 each. Overall, it was an expensive and unsatisfying place. Be aware...
Read moreI can't believe I've loved in the area for over 15 years and never found this little gem! My family and I are recently and irrevocably vegan, and finding a variety of options in the area has been difficult- mainly because of gluten-free restrictions to our diets as well. My husband and I tried this place on a whim- I remembered seeing it listed as a place with plentiful vegan options- but only because there was a very long wait at Dukes Ale house and we walked out. It was fate, I tell you! The service was a bit slow, but that's only because of how busy they restaurant was- those ladies were working hard. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu when I asked about what is vegan and what has gluten, which put my mind at ease when we ordered. Then the food came- wow. So many delicious flavors! I love that they ask on a scale of 1 to 5 how spicy you want the dish. I went with 3 on the red curry, which was perfect for me. And the menu had SO many more options for us- we cannot wait to bring our daughters back to try more! The prices were very, very reasonable and the portions were just right. (Keep in mind, we chose veggie dishes- I imagine the prices for meat dishes are more) We couldn't stop talking about our meal all weekend long! We will...
Read morePretty disappointing. Out holiday shopping, stopped to grab myself a quick meal. While here, the couple next to me received the wrong soup. Instead of owning up and immediately bringing a new one, they convinced her to keep it and try to eat that. Needless to say, she didn't like it.
She asked for the soup she wanted originally and was told she was going to be given the base soup to be taken home so it didn't go to waste.
She got her main course, but not her soup until after the check came, and they billed her for the soup she hadn't wanted "because it was eaten from and they obviously wanted it"
I ordered the fresh, cold, rice paper spring rolls... Pictured on the menu plain.
It arrived with sauce and nuts on top. Needless to say, if I had known, I would have not ordered it because I'm allergic to nuts.
The pieces without nuts were ok. Nothing great.
Crystal noodles were pretty good. Really good, actually. Enough so that I may give the place another chance. But I think the issue was the waitress. I saw the owner come out and rectify the situation for the other couple.
I think that the whole experience would have been 100% different if the...
