Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Crystal River

3 different visits now and everytime it's some drama. This newest one wasn't bad they just forgot food we ordered so that's on me for not checking before leaving. The 2nd they told us the machine didn't work and they would be out to take our order then left us there for 20 mins. Other cars came got food & left. They wouldn't answer button. Finally someone asked what we were waiting for then apologized & took our order. The 1st time they took my card inside since machine doesn't work, they also forgot our kids food. We waited 15 mins then I poked button & guy said I don't have ur card. I told him exactly what it looked like & they still owed us food. Finally he found my card & brought out a breakfast burrito for our 4yr old instead of her wacky pack. We told him this still isn't right food & he took burrito back inside then 10 mins later brought out burger but no toy or fries. We gave up & just left. I won't be surprised to see this location close again cause staff...

Worst place I've been in a while, not sure how the food was because I ended up leaving. When I got there all the employees were gathered together on the side of the building vaping or smoking something. After we pulled into a spot and pushed the button to order it took them a minute or two then I could see the girl run in from hanging outside and race to put the headset on. After my wife told her the order she says "ok order whenever you're ready". It's like they're intentionally trying to keep people from coming there. Then after my wife repeated the order she read it back to us and missed a couple items. So the girl told us the total for the items and my wife asked if we use the card slot to pay. There's nothing showing that the card slot was for payments or anything, so she asked 2 more times even pushing the button and never received an answer so we left. I will never waist my time going...

I was visiting back in May and I love me some Sonics, but my experience at this location was absolutely ridiculous. I pressed the button to order and waited a very long time - never got waited on. I assumed that maybe that station wasn’t working. I tried a different one - same thing. I tried to be patient, but it really was a ridiculous amount of time waiting. I also noticed a lot of other people leaving- unhappy! I finally gave up and decided to just use the drive-thru. Sat and sat and sat!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I completely gave up and went to Dunnellon where I was staying. Got waited on immediately!! Sad, because I’m planning a move to Crystal River - would really like a reliable Sonics to visit, but don’t think I’ll be going back to this one. I understand that times are tough and there’s a shortage on staff everywhere, but who has time to sit and wait like that?? Really not fair to...
