Shelly's Route 66 Cafe — Restaurant in Cuba

Service was fantastic. It's a small but mighty breakfast restaurant in Cuba, MO. Their food is pure Americana. We loved everything they served for the two meals we had there. My wife loved their biscuits and gravy and fried chicken. My daughter loved their pancakes and their biscuits and gravy (and she didn't like biscuits and gravy, usually). I had their slinger for breakfast one day. It was huge and delicious. I stuffed myself and barely got 2/3 of the way through my plate. Day two, the cod sandwich was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. Their tartar sauce was really good too. 10/10 we will eat there again when we are back in Cuba, MO.

It's a great restaurant open for breakfast and lunch in Cuba, MO. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for simple comfort...

I can't really give there food a rating because we were ignored while we were there today 1-15-23 at noon time... walked in the 1st time and couldn't get a table so we decided to leave but a nice lady offered us her table because she was leaving... We took her table and never got a greeting or anything from the staff but a local that came in after us got service right away!!! I know it was a local because the staff knew him by name... Sitting here at rich's famous burger restaurant just a few miles down the road enjoying a great great burger called the bacon blue burger and now I'm glad we didn't eat at shelly's...

Adorable place! Delicious food. The special of the day was chicken and dumplings...so great and homemade tasting!! The biscuit/bread it was served with was amazing too! Also had a burger. it was very large and filling and tastes great. both the tots and fries were tasty, although I'm partial to the tots. Only downfalls were: no homemade sweet tea (would have been very fitting for a cafe like this!) And they had 0 desserts the day we went! Was looking forward to a homemade pie or cake slice.
