Culebra Coffee — Restaurant in Culebra

The food was ok, but the old man with the ponytail ruined our experience. We were sitting at the table and he gave us a lecture about how it was “extremely disrespectful” that we brought in outside food. We all purchased food/ drinks from culebra coffee aswell, and the outside food we had was not sold at their establishment, therefor there was no competition. We are all adults, and do not appreciate being talked down to like children. EDIT: response to owners response….. first off only 2 people brought in outside food, and we spent well over 40 Dollars at your shop. I think what you were smelling was your body odor, as you clearly don't shower more than once a week. Your presence near our table made us lose our appetite your smell was nearly unbearable . If you are going to run a restaurant, at-least learn basic hygiene. Your lucky i don't call the food and safety board after what...

I want to start of by saying that sometimes people are not morning people, maybe that’s what happened here, with that in mind we went to the coffee shop around 7ish because as you can see it has great reviews and also because it was one of the only shops opened, however our experience was far from a 5 star experience. Granted I don’t expect to be treated like a queen or anything like that however the person attending the front from the start was very rude and angry. We weren’t even asking for much just coffees when I ask to have 2 sugars in my coffee, the person very rudely said “you can add it yourself” with a bad attitude. Look i understand me doing it myself but they could of told me with out the attitude more when we weren’t even rude or loud customers. Maybe I'm too OCD for PR or Culebra but I can't recommend this place after what happened there: We went here for breakfast. Coffee was very nice btw, breakfast itself - not so much. The place is super small so we had to sit at the bar. While I was trying to enjoy my food, a cockroach 🪳 appeared and started to slowly move towards my food. I pointed that out to the man who cooked it and was nearby. It took him some time to understand what the issue was (apparently cockroaches are very common here and nobody is bothered by them). But then he smashed it with his BARE HAND, rinsed it a little in the sink and went back to cooking food. I definitely couldn't eat...
