If the rooms are as good as the food, I think you’re gonna be good. The food is excellent. There are some very recently items and there are some item menus that had to put my head between my knees and do some deep breathing into a bag. The wait staff was exceptionally competent and easy on the eyes. There are schools of massive tarpon that swim right on the inlet and that is where the dining area is. It’s an open area. I recommend going after sunset so you can benefit from the green underwater lights that illuminate these tarpon that are about 4 feet long and God only knows what. They have become habituated to the diners and circle around, begging for french fries and what not and the diners do not disappoint. Grab yourself a rice and beans get yourself a nice icy glass of lime water. If not get a seat away from the water. (Although we both know you got this Tommy Bahama) I’m certain that stupid drunk Americans have swam with their cell phones and dinner attire amongst the pescada.

I was a little worried about this place due to the other reviews but I think any low review of this place is simply due to unmet expectations. This hotel was EXACTLY what I needed as a solo traveler who needed an affordable room with a lot of convenience. This place is so close to the ferry, the banks, multiple restaurants and bars, the car rental spot, etc. Front desk service was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that it does get loud here at multiple times of the day. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones and that will solve that issue. That’s a small inconvenience to bring compared to what you get for a great price. For the staff: if there’s any way you can solve that small step issue to the bathroom, I stubbed my toe many times. Not a deal breaker at all, guests just have to be extra careful.

Loved it. After driving around the island in a golf cart, which just added to the fun and adventure. We had what eventually thanks to the poor ferry service a few hours to kill. So before returning the golf cart we stopped at Mamacitas for a few cold ones and finger food and oh boy they did not disappoint. The wife and I sat a table right by the water way or canal where motor boats scooted by and enjoyed some fried cheese, tostones and coconut shrimp. The dipping sauces were super on point. I cant say enough about the friendliness of the staff but then again remember your in one of the friendliest countries in the world. Highly recommend this establishment.

If I can I wish I was able to put 0 stars because my experience was not what I expected at all and to be frank it ruined that whole night in culebra. As we got there they gave us a table that wasn’t clean yet and we watched the waiters clean it in front of us which didn’t bother me at first. The waiter took our order after 15-20min she came back to our table to confirm our order, at first I thought that was weird. We waited 45 min for our drinks to finally arrive at our table, I've noticed the other two tables besides my group just got filled. As we waited for another hour the other table were able to get their appetizer then later their food. My friend Asked about our reorder Nd we were told it was coming, after waiting a while 2 hours for food we all decided to leave and the waiter aNd cook got the nerve to say they were packing our food to go. I’m sorry we felt disrespected and we left the place and we had to settle for drinks and pizza at a bar around the area I honestly don’t recommend anyone to come here the service is ridiculous save your time and go...

Best hotel experience ever! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We got to Culebra in the morning and check in was at 4pm. I asked if I could at least leave my bags so I could be more comfortable an tour the island before check in, they said yes and when I got there they offered to check me in immediately at the time( before non) and that helped me so much in my stay and to be less worried and more comfortable. They gave me some tips for better experience in the island and were always so willing and helpful. It was a very clean room, great a/c and microwave was so clean as well and mini fridge. Overall the best hotel experience. I thought we had no water but it was just I was opening it wrong but when they explained it was piping hot, very clean room . And such an vintage yet modern house from the island vibe. I loved it. Bed could be a bit more comfortable and tv did not work great because of bad connection with internet, but did not need it since the whole trip was awesome and tiresome so we just wanted to rest. There should be more hotel with this...

pleasant seating by the canal. good (rum) drinks, good appetizers. we stopped by for a 3 hour wait for the evening ferry to return from Culebra and the patio was empty except for the wait staff eating. As other reviews noted, we were ignored when we entered and had to ask about a table. We were told to sit anywhere and take a picture of the menu if we wanted to order. Decided on drinks and appetizers but were told only several offerings from the menu were available. Ordered those, a rum and fruit juice and sangria - Al of which were very good and worth the troubling service. we watched the fish in the clear water of the canal and several motorized dinghies presumably from the boats anchored in Escalade Honda picking up supplies and checking out the scene. We had wanted to watch the sunset from the ferry landing but it took a good 20 minutes just to get the attention of our server and pay so we missed it.

Again, good food, great drinks, pleasant setting slightly off set by inattentive service (on the positive side we were...
