Just came through here around 8 o'clock this evening, and my wife and I ordered a couple of iced lattes. Mine was a medium iced Maple Bourbon latte, and I requested half and half.
Right off the bat, the young lady on the speaker was VERY unenthusiastic, and we could tell even over the speaker that she was in a mood, it seemed. We were still kind and courteous when ordering, and then she didn't even say "scoot around", the classic line that people expect from this franchise. My wife works at another Scooter's location, so I'm very well acquainted with this brand AND this particular drink; it's one of my "go to's".
So we pull around, and the young lady at the window (young, blonde hair) is rather curt, but we still make sure to pay with the app so we can tip 20 percent (it's a common issue for Scooter's baristas to not get tipped, because it's inconvenient for people who don't use the app, but that's another issue I'll advocate to be fixed). She gives us our drinks, and we start to pull away, noting that maybe she's just going through something, and we give the benefit of the doubt concerning this less than stellar interaction. I then try my drink, and it tastes like there's maybe a single pump of syrup in it - again, I'm very familiar with this drink, so I absolutely know it's not been made correctly.
No big deal, I just pull back up to the speaker, and mention it just tastes like there's not enough syrup in it, and ask if I can get a few extra pumps. The same girl comes on the speaker and starts arguing with me, first saying that they made it perfectly, and condescendingly explaining how "half and half is creamy", and may affect the flavor... Like, girl, I KNOW how half and half works, and it doesn't affect how much syrup flavor there is...
Anyways, she's telling me if I don't like it, I'll have to just buy a new one, and pay for extra pumps of syrup. I just say" listen, I'll just pull around to talk to you about it", so I pull around. Apparently in that ten seconds, she changed her mind about supplying actual customer service, because I pull up to the window, and basically start over, just saying "I get this drink a lot, so I know how it usually tastes, and this one just seems off. So I was just wanting to see what we could do". She then actually agrees to remake it for me. I'm glad there's been a change of heart, it seems.
She comes back with it, and as I'm reaching for it, she accidentally squeezes the drink, popping the lid off and it then spills all down my arm, all over the inside of my car door, INSIDE the car door, and down the outside. She angrily sighs, rolls her eyes, and just pulls the drink back in the window. After a few stunned moments, she finally hands me a wad of napkins, but NOT ONCE does she apologize. Not one "sorry about that!", not one "I'm so sorry"... So she walks away, and I assume remakes it AGAIN, but then a completely different team member comes and hands me the coffee, which finally makes it safely into my hands. She is much more courteous, and wishes a good evening. I try the coffee before pulling away, because I don't trust it after the immense fight they put up. But this one was properly made, good flavor, enough syrup.
As we say thank you and drive away, I roll up my window, and there's coffee smeared all down my window. So now I'm going to have to have that cleaned inside and out... And again, not once was an apology given, not for the latte being made incorrectly, not for the spilling of the drink all over the customer and their vehicle. I'm considering having the vehicle detailed and sending the bill to this location.
I would at the very least like for baristas at this location to be trained on actual...
Read moreCome for the coffee, not the food. The coffee at this place is amazing. If you like frozen drinks, I recommend the sea salt carameliscious blender with an extra shot. Probably the best drink I’ve ever had. The customer service is fantastic. They are always friendly and personable. The app is great and easy to use. The reward system is really good too. But let’s talk food. This is where I become slightly disappointed. They tout “scratch-made” food (especially cinnamon rolls). These are not “scratch-made” unless you count being made in a factory somewhere, shipped in a box, and reheated at the store scratch-made. The cinnamon rolls are mediocre at best. If you’ve ever had a good cinnamon roll, you’d know the difference. Today I got a spicy sausage breakfast burrito and it was awful. It had a funny taste to it and it was gooey. Imagine some freezer burnt sausage and some half cooked eggs put in a blender and blended to a liquid pulp, then put in stale tortilla with cheese. If I am the CEO of Scooters, I am taking this off the menu immediately and rethinking this item. The waffle sandwich was actually really good, but again, made in a factory, shipped in a box, and reheated at the store. Long story short, come for the coffee,...
Read more(5/11/2025) I Went to Scooter's coffee on Mother's Day to treat my daughter. I already don't have much money but there was a coupon and I did not live far from the location. Unfortunately, my car died in the drive-through. Two men in a red pick-up truck behind me (saints) helped to push my car through the line as the drive-through was curbed and my daughter and I could not push it through no matter our efforts. With the help of these men we were pushed through the line and to a parking spot into the parking lot of Scooter's drive through. The lady at the window laughing at our misfortune. The next night (5/12/2025) My daughter and I went to Scooter's to have my car pulled/pushed to a different place when the traffic had died down. Unfortunately, it had already been towed. My daughter had already said she felt like a homeless person. I had hoped the Scooter's workers would have more compassion but they did not. I feel like utter trash. I write this with such pain in my heart. I wish they would have had more compassion for a single mother in unfortunate circumstances that was planning to move her car the next day. This is such a...
