Their customer service is totally lacking at the drive thru. Every time I have been thru there, the person(s) taking the orders and handing the food out seem as though they'd rather be anywhere else than there, doing their jobs. They come across like they are doing you a favor by taking your order and most of the time one can't understand what they say. They should learn from Chick fil-A and Taco Bell- both have exemplary customer service!! I like the fries here-they're great💯! But the chicken I've gotten has been overcooked and it's like chewing leather(or jerky). Their coleslaw is gross😝. Normally, Zaxby's has a really good fried chicken salad but here, again, the chicken is overcooked😕. Haven't eaten inside so I can't give an assessment of the atmosphere 🤷♀️.
I'm making a few changes to my previous review-I give credit where it's due. I decided that after my initial post, I would give Zaxby's a chance to redeem themselves. I'm glad I did! Whatever the reason, things are better! I have been through there on multiple occasions and at different times to get a feel for it and I'm pleased to say the service has gotten exponentially better! The drive-thru was, honestly, horrible before but I was really glad to experience a drastic change for the better on all the times that I have been thru there. The staff has been extremely nice, and seem happy to be at their jobs now! I don't know if they're new people or if they decided to make the changes with the staff they had. Whatever they did seems to have worked. The food was another issue I had and the chicken has been much better! Still am a fan of their fries but the chicken hasn't been overcooked and chewy like before!! I haven't had another fried chicken salad yet but I plan to and I'm hoping the chicken will be as good as it has been these few times I've been there lately and quite possibly get to 4 stars! Read moreFALSE ADVERTISING! The I went to the drive thru and ordered 20 chicken fingers. The price listed was $20.99. As an addition, I could have them " Buffalo style" which means dipping them in one of their many sauces for $.10 each. The total should have been $22.99 Plus tax. The total rang up was $24.99. I questioned the window attendant who had no explanation but that was just the way it was programmed into his register. Not wanting to hold up the drive through, I paid and left. I immediately called the restaurant and asked for a manager who happened to be who answered the phone. After explaining the same situation, she said she understood the math but offered no resolution or a refund for the difference of money. She stated that was just the way " Corporate " programmed their registers and that she couldn't change it or refund. I guess we're just supposed to take it. I've lived by a simple statistical phrase, if I'm happy with something, I will tell 5 other people If I'm unhappy with someone, I'll tell 10 other people. I'll will be relentless...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible service at zaxby's tonight I placed a mobile pick up order and went through the drive-through, which was empty, to pick up my order and it went from being my mobile order for myself to somehow turning into a doordash for someone else. When they came to the window I told them no it is an order for me and I gave them my name. Another 15 minutes later I finally get my food without my cookie. I mention this and they go another 5 minutes before coming back with an apology that they're out of the cookie i wanted and they threw in 3 different cookies for "them", still not realizing that this is my food this is my food and my fries were fresh but my sandwich was cold. Worst experience I have ever had at that zaxby's and I am extremely disappointed.
