So the newness of this place has worn off for us, but really, the only main downside is no outside floaties and no outside food/drinks. Also, dont try calling this place, I tried for weeks and couldn't get anyone on the phone. I don't understand the concept of a lazy river with no floatie or at least a pool noodle. No floatie in the wave pool kind of stinks as well but I understand why, floats can take up a lot of room and lets be honest your park isnt as big as I hope it will be one day. I do hope for an expansion one day that includes a very large normal pool area. But if anything, let us rent them out or something similar so you can control how many are in the water. My biggest annoyance is this, last year they didn't seem so strict on the food and drink policy but this year, I've seen people having to carry full bags of snacks to the car...You guys don't offer enough food varieties to enforce this. A vegetarian can eat what, nachos? What if we are on diets, you guys don't offer salads 🥗? And FOOD ALLERGIES, do you realize how many kids have food allergies these days? I can tell you we as consumers spend enough money getting in, and we should be able to bring outside food in. Enough 💰 money 💰 will still be spent on inside concessions, even if you guys let up on this policy. Heck, if anything, I would be willing to pay a fee to bring in my own food. I'm a pass holder, and I can guarantee we will have snacks, we will just be sitting in our car running in and out of the park to eat them, and thats mildly annoying for not only us but for the ppl at the gate. My child doesn't drink sodas, and other than water or booze, those are really your only options. Some people might completely avoid eating in the park 🙅♀️🙅♂️ altogether because of this policy. Considering I plan on spending a good majority of my summer in this place, It's extremely frustrating! Especially since I have lost 30 lbs and would not like to eat junk 🍟🍗🍔🍕 all summer. I probably speak for Cullman when I say offer better food options or let us bring in our own food. Other than that, the "new" kids area is amazing, the life guards and staff are really super friendly. The new slides are always fun, and kids absolutely love them. As a person who is out of shape, the climb up can be a beast, but it's worth it. As an adult, you can decompress by any of the kid areas and still be able to watch the young ones. Lots of seating by the wave pool. Also, that's where the music is the loudest. You can't really hear it anywhere else. They do have 2 diving boards with options to dive into the deeper water alongside a slide that Im terrified 😱 to even attempt. Then they have another kids area with a bucket dump and slide and also a splash pad for super young kids 👶, those are available on the older side of the park. It also includes 2 separate slides that my 5 year old absolutely LOVES. They have an adult beverage building, and they aren't terrible prices for drinks, not for a water park anyway. You can buy ice cream, slushies, and all sorts of cool treats along with souvenirs and sunscreen at the airstream type rv that sits pretty mid center of the park. They have nachos, chicken fingers, garlic bread, and pizza on the new side of the park near the opening gate and then burgers and a few other options over on the far end of the park. Like i said earlier, though, not too much to rave about. Im hoping the pools will be cleaner than it was for the soft opening, but I do understand there was a storm right before last weekend. Lots of pine needles, dirt, and scuff marks on the floor. Im hoping all the little extra water things (like the bucket and wave pool water dump) were just turned off for the soft opening and not broken. Will update after next weekend. Overall, it's not terrible by any means, and you guys have my money because my daughter loves it here, and it's close. Also, season pass prices are well worth the pre-purchase. However, my rating will stay at 4 stars, not because of the facility but because of your rules. Hopefully, one day,...
Read moreEhh, we have spent every day of the summer at Wild Water in the past, however, only went to the new park once. That is all it took to realize it is now an understaffed, overpriced waste of time. Aside from not having adequate amounts of floats, their system for the slides is ridiculous. If it is your first time coming you have no way to know which float you need for which slide until you've waited in line for 35 mins+ to get to the top. They have one lifeguard managing multiple slides, one of which requires them to push a button for riders to go, so more waiting. The concession situation is even worse. We stood in line for over an hour for 2 hot dogs, and three drinks. Then we tried another concession area and we waited for 45 minutes only to reach the window and them tell us they were shutting down for 30 minutes to restock. They simply could have told everyone they would need to shut down soon for restock so we could have exited the line, instead of waiting until they were out of everything to tell those of us waiting we would have to come back later. We spent a good 3 hours total, of our time at WW in line for food. This was never an issue before the upgrades, it doesn't make any sense to have longer wait times after adding additional places to get food. We probably spent 30 minutes each time waiting for a float, because there is not a system so some people would use the slide, and keep their float to go again. They need a staff member there to take the floats and redistribute them to others if they aren't going to have an adequate amount. They need more cabanas apparently as they double book the ones they have. There is also not enough regular seating. Our family of six finally found one chair to share. Either lower the max capacity or add additional seating to accommodate everyone. People were using the seating intended for use at the snack areas for daily seating because that is all there was. Overall it was not worth the $300 we spent for the day. We will probably...
Read moreSOOOOOO, MY GRANDDAUGHTER HAD A BLAST, AS DID I..... UNTIL I WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING. When I purchased the tickets ONLINE, (THURSDAY morning) an IMMEDIATE hold was put on the funds (as EXPECTED), but INSTEAD of FINALIZING THAT transaction, they made a SEPARATE TRANSACTION (FRIDAY morning) on my account.I called the park & was told by MIKE that CASHAPP did that & they DON'T KNOW why CASHAPP does that, but to contact CASHAPP. So, I did AGAIN, & CASHAPP tells me that whenever a business sets up an amount with them, THE BUSINESS DECIDES on if they receive the funds IMMEDIATELY, or HOW long funds will be in PENDING. So, this place set it up as a 10 day pending period & they either submit it to be FINALIZED or CANCELED..... So, INSTEAD of collecting the $98.97 that THEY PLACED A HOLD ON, they made a TOTALLY DIFFERENT TRANSACTION FOR $98.97 & CASHAPP CAN NOT release the ORIGINAL amount back into my account until the 11th day. I HAVE AUTOMATIC SUBSCRIPTIONS that come thru my CASHAPP account, that b/c I was shorted almost $100, CASHAPP attempted to hit my bank card for & now my bank has charged me $35 for 3 attempted withdrawals, so NOW I'M OUT OVER ANOTHER OVER $100. ALLLLLLL B/C WHOEVER HANDLES THESE CARD TRANSACTIONS AT THE WATER PARK, DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING..... THIS IS HORRIBLE BUSINESS INSTEAD OF THEM FIXING THE ISSUE THAT OCCURRED ON THEIR END, THEY'RE PASSING THE BLAME ONTO OTHERS, IN THE MEAN TIME, I'M OUT OVER $100..... OH & BTW, THEY DO NOT TAKE CASH AT THE PARK, SO JUST BEWARE EVERY TIME YOU SWIPE YOUR CARD THERE, B/C DOUBLE BILLED IS A VERYYYYYY...
