They have not refunded many customers, including my family. You can read about my sisters experience on Cullman News and Facebook.
Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Cullman has recently come under fire after multiple guests reported negative experiences, including accusations of being overcharged and mistreated by management.
The controversy began when a guest, Kat Faye, posted on Facebook about her stay at the hotel. According to her account, she and her children were abruptly kicked out of the hotel after what she described as poor communication and aggressive behavior from the staff. Faye stated that she had booked a two-night stay, but was told by the hotel manager that she had only booked one night and was asked to leave because the hotel was fully booked for the next evening. Despite trying to explain her situation while attending to her children, Faye says she was met with rudeness and ultimately escorted out of the hotel by police, an experience she described as humiliating and frustrating. Faye later posted photos on social media showing that she had been charged for two nights, seemingly supporting her claim that the hotel was in error.
Adding to the scrutiny, another guest, Blane Black, came forward to share his experience with the hotel, which involved being charged approximately $1,200 across multiple transactions—far beyond the initial $137 cost for a single-night stay. Despite his attempts to resolve the issue with hotel management and corporate, Black reported being treated dismissively and had to involve his bank, file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and eventually take legal action through the Cullman Circuit Court. Although he won his case and was awarded repayment, Black is still waiting to be fully reimbursed for the filing costs. He shared that the process of recovering his money took months and left him frustrated by the hotel’s apparent lack of accountability.
Despite having multiple opportunities to address the concerns raised by their guests, Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Cullman has yet to provide any explanation or apology for these incidents. Both Faye and Black expressed that they would not return to the hotel and warned others about their experiences. The allegations against the hotel, combined with their refusal to engage with affected customers, have raised concerns about the quality of service provided by this...
Read moreBED BUGS DONT STAY HERE. If I could give it a ZERO I WOULD.
Let’s begin with our arrival. To start it all off, we received a room with an AC that did not work. Mind you it was 80 degrees in our room when we arrived. Not sure why it wouldn’t be checked in the first place.
After being moved, we spent our first night in the new room. When we woke up the next morning we were getting ready to go to Rock the South and my sister finds a BED BUG CRAWLING ON TOP OF THE BED. After I looked some more, I found many more on the headboard, the wall, and even under the bed. After speaking with someone from the front desk they moved all of our things to a new room (2 doors down the hallway) while we were gone, but with other issues to be solved. After all of our belongings being contaminated from the first room, we brought everything into the second room (more to come on this issue). After asking what we should do about the items (our personal blankets, pillows, clothes, bags, etc.) the staff suggested we just keep everything off the bed and we would be fine. We did not lay our heads with peace of mind one night the entire time we stayed at this hotel.
After speaking with the manager about receiving a refund before the end of our trip, he mentioned that I would have to go through booking.com to receive it. After speaking with booking.com, they said that the hotel could not come to an agreement on any sort of reimbursement for our stay. So, not only did I spend $2000 dollars on a hotel for our stay (10 hours away from home), I now have to worry about bringing bed bugs back into my home when i get back. We had to throw items away, and get everything else professionally cleaned so that we do not bring them into our home.
Let’s also mention the bites from the bed bugs that I am still currently dealing with. They are all over both of our bodies. They itch so bad it feels like you want to scratch your skin off.
I hope that this hotel figures out their issues because this was completely unacceptable and unprofessional on all sides of the situation. I pray that this doesn’t happen to...
Read moreMy stay there was $137, and they ended up charging me around $1,200 across multiple transactions, even took money weeks after my stay.
I ended up talking to three different managers to try and get someone to help me, and no one at their corporate office would help either. I had to get a bank representative involved to try to get my money back and had to change my debit card three times because of their charges. Eventually, I filed a claim case against them. After Cullman City Police served them, they never responded, “because I had a lot of evidence” and the judge ruled in my favor, ordering them to repay me, including the filing cost I had to pay.
Despite all of that, I finally connected with someone in the company who listened, but even she struggled to get my money back. I did receive most of it back, but they still haven’t paid me for the claim that I had to file against them to get my money back.
I have all the evidence and court documents to back up my claims. This whole process took months and a lot of time. Do not stay at Cobblestone, they’re very incompetent and have terrible...
