New Update!!!! Sadly I wish I could say things have improved. However they still lack the basic competence of putting paid for food and condiments in a bag. This is the final straw. Wendy's is right across the street and at least I can ALWAYS get a frosty when I go there. (Previous updates included) UPDATE!!!! Have recently been laid up with injury where I am was unable to bend, reach, lift, climb or drive for a considerable amount of time. So I have had to rely on delivery(DD and 99% of the time I order mcdonalds.) I had 60-70% my orders arrive wrong!!! And with the exception of 2 times, it was all due to incorrect, damaged or missing items. I have had to contact DD so many times that my account got flagged and they will no longer help fix it. And I am not the kind of person who wants a refund, I just want the right food and am happy to send the wrong stuff back. I couldn't go get it myself and didn't have friends or family nearby who could get it for me, so was reliant on others. I pay for food to be made the right way, its not like its free food. I expect the food I order and pay for! I don't think that this is unreasonable. If it was correct to begin with I wouldn't have to contact them in the first place. Now as someone with a medical condition I no longer feel I have the option of having food brought to me because I now know/ feel that if it isn't right then I will have paid to be completely screwed over, because there is at least a 60% chance it will be wrong/missing and will have wasted money that I work hard to earn. And yes I know I can cook at home, but like everyone else, sometimes I just want certain things from certain places.
(Original review is included below I believe in transparency.) (PS this was a 3☆ review at the time) Our order was well made and tasted fine this time. They weren't under staffed but seemed a little slow and disorganized. Go to this location fairly regularly as they are the only one in town. And unfortunately it seems hit or miss. Either everything is fine or the...
Read moreNo matter how many times I choose to visit the service never changes and the amount of time it takes to be served only seems to grow longer by each visit. This place has no sense of urgency and clearly doesn't comprehend the "fast" in "fast food". I pitty the first time staff who have the unique experience of finding this particular McDonald's to be the first job they hold in the quick service food industry. This place is directly responsible for the irrehinsable "talent" shaped by the poor management, and disjointed ownership specific to the Culpeper location that is then spread to other reputable quick service competitors who will ultimately meet a one star fate much like this one. I currently sit in line typing this because I'm stuck with no way to maneuver around to an exit. By the time I will have found my self at an order here station someone from the speaker will scream out in bliss "I'm sorry but our card machine is down and we are only accepting cash" which is usual at this time of evening and happens each and every day of the week.
Why might I have found my self here in the first place considering my level of apparent displeasure you might be asking? I ask my self the same question now! Then again if it's one thing even the worst of talent and teachings in culpeper can prove, it's no matter how horrible you seem to be at your job or your level of care for that position it's that you cannot in any way mess up the preparation of McDonalds food no matter the level incompetence.
(Update) atleast the gentleman taking my order explained the options I had for sink choices given they are out of large lids and informed me I could have a cup with no lid or pay for the large and receive a...
Read moreOnce i walked in no one was present on the register after being seen walking in from the door that faces inside of the kitchen. I had to order on the kiosk and once i got my food i had to yell around the corner for my drink cup. I came with 2 other people who was paying separately and they both had to yell and grab someone’s attention from the kitchen and it wasn’t even busy, to get their large drink cups they paid for. And not only that a clearly teen in a dark red shirt was taking their order with his phone in his hand. More interested into the text messages than his own work environment and customers. When we 3 asked for our paid cups we were getting irritated because we had to try to grab children’s who’s supposedly “working” attentions because they were too busy on their phones and playing around instead of helping to finish not only drive thru orders but in store orders. After we finally got our whole meals we went to the self serving drink station which had pepsi and other sodas mixed spilled all across on the counter with drink lids everywhere. So maybe instead of being on y’all’s phone probably clean the lobby space up because tables were a mess as well. I understand if there was a “rush” and didn’t have time to get to that but if you’re only having a total of 10 customers inside and employees walking beside the mess then thats no excuse. Whoever is the manager at this place needs to hire people who actually wants to work. Poor employees, poor service, poor...
