Mama Mais Pizza — Restaurant in Culpeper

Just went in with my mom for the first time to try it out. I asked if we could sit anywhere or if we just ordered up front. I was told we could sit . Was an incredibly awkward experience our Server honestly either has never been a server before , doesn't like people , or Just did not like us. I asked if they had club soda i was looked at like i was dumb. And told no , so i asked what do you have the response was just Coke products . our Server looked annoyed she even had to explain what those products were. I asked if she had water I received an annoyed yes. I honestly was very uncomfortable and i wanted to leave but the server had already come so i didn't want to waste her time. The pasta menu had one 1 description for the alfredo everything else I had to google what could possibly be in it. I asked the server if anything came with the fried ravioli she looked at me in disbelief like if I should already know. And just goes Marinara sauce with a condescending tone. I was so shocked I just sat in silence my mom went ahead and ordered her food no problem . we both got salads with ranch, we didnt get ranch they were out which was the only moment our server actually smiled at us was to tell us that they were out . so we had to ask for a different dressing . the silverware i received was not clean it had dried left over food on it . i had to ask for another set. My salad was okay but my moms lettuce was not cut and she got the ends of the lettuce no one wants she didnt eat it she picked through it. The toasted Ravioli was actually very good the marinara sauce was cold , i didnt mind it was a good balance but it was unexpected. My moms personal pizza she said was very good . But my Parmesan shrimp was burnt . I tried 1 bite and the sauce and the shrimp tasted burnt. I really didnt want to make a scene so I just put it in the to go container. By then we had gotten a different server ours dissappeared and the one that replaced her was actually really kind and i didnt want to give her any trouble. Overall i only recommend getting take out , the dine in experience is uncomfortable , the toasted ravioli and my moms personal pizza will be the only reason we would ever consider eating there again. Golly gee Chat, I hate putting down bad reviews, I really do. But sadly this Mama Mais, while the food is good 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐈𝐓 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒, seems to have a few issues with both the Slice app and admitting fault when an order isn't received. I will admit to you right now Chat, that placing an order while being 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘝𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘺 𝘌𝘳𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘦, isn't a smart move on my part. But an even less intelligent move is to assure me that the pizza, that took 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 to "arrive", is on my porch even though by all metrics my very real human eyes can see it is not.

Now I understand that there are some absolute rapscallions out there in these, for the moment, Great United States who would scam a lovely local business out of their hard earned cheddar. That said, I was just a 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘝𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘺 𝘌𝘳𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘦 and taking a picture of my porch with its imaginary food incensed me enough to leave this review. I regret this review but at this current juncture on the cusp of 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐌𝐗𝐗𝐕, it is a vile deed that I hope guides this business onto the babbling brook of success and steers it away from the enervated...
