As we left the Glacier National Park area of central northern Montana headed southward, we found Latte Da in Cut Gap, Montana, using Google and their reviews. All things being equal, I prefer – and will chose – a coffee shop where I can walk in and order versus a drive-through only.
Latte Da showed me the error of my ways! It is, in fact, a drive-through only but it earns its 4.8-star rating!
The ladies taking orders and making the coffee are friendly, smiling faces to greet you of a morning before you’ve had your joe – always a good thing. The coffee is served in paper cups (hopefully Styrofoam is becoming a thing of the past), and perhaps even more telling, they make their own whipped cream using a dispenser. I love that so much! It’s the attention to tiny details!
Since my experience traveling east stopping at various coffee shops and ordering a “flat white,” never getting what I want, I’ve stopped using that moniker altogether. I now just say, “I’d like two shots of espresso, four ounces of breve with this much foam [indicates about three-quarters of an inch with my fingers].”
So far I’ve had much better results! Latte Da was no exception! The coffee flavor was strong, softened just a bit by cream. I didn’t need to top it off with additional dairy. Perfecto!
Find your way here! We went a bit out of our way (it would have been faster to go south vs. east and north-ish) and it was worth...
Read moreStopped in quick on our way through after visiting Glacier. Wow! Wasn’t planning to leave a review, but I had to after our experience. Both the ladies at the window were SO nice, such wonderful customer service! Everything was clean and bright, our order was ready promptly, delicious breakfast burritos, and THEY HAVE DECAF CHAI! First time I’ve found it at a coffee shop. :) My husband said his caramel breve was really good. If we’re ever in the area again,...

Great people here, and great service. The coffee here is worth traveling for, from Shelby to Valier, come one come all!
So grateful these people have found success here in Cut Bank with an...
