McDonald's — Restaurant in Daingerfield

McDonald’s in daingerfield is a ABSOLUTE JOKE!!! Would not recommend. Waited 30minutes in a drive through line before I had enough (because I understand at time businesses can be short staffed) ask for a refund because it’s ridiculous to have been waiting 30minutes for a 10 piece meal. Manager tells me she has to run the refund on a back machine can I pull forward and she’ll bring my card back out to me I agree pull forward and after waiting 5 minutes for the return of my debit card I decide to go in and see what’s taking so long. walk in the door there’s 3 workers in the back and 3 workers in the front half and the manager there with no card in hand wiping down equipment. Get her attention she walks over I ask where’s my card you were running a refund she try’s to tell me she’s bagging orders. I asked that she run my refund and give me my card because I was there now for 35 minutes with out food and with out my money refunded. She apologizes and walks to the back. I sit down to wait and the line is to the road at this point and 4 out of the 6 workers were more worried about playing around with each other than working or helping their coworkers. 08-23-24 Morning and afternoon crew AWESOME. Please teach your evening, young crew how to treat customers, especially in the drive-thru. The young lady, she looks Hispanic, working right now, 8-23-24 @ 6:30 pm, shouldn't be working drive thru. I had to say Thank You twice for her to respond. Even then, she looked at me like she could care less. She acted like she didn't want to give me any sauce. Then, one sauce was opened, the reason I don't like them dropped in my bag. Also, the evening managers don't require the workers to wear gloves, NASTY. It's a wonder this store barely has 3 stars.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: This restuarant is always bagged up in drive thru, you have to order no salt fries to get them fresh, the nuggets are always old, the lobby is always closed. The couple of times I was able to go in, the drink area was nasty, some of the counter/drive thru workers on their phone, another worker had to come off her break to wait on me. Thank You, Toya Boyd. I have been to this McDonald's several times over the years. It is the only fast food restaurant available in town so options are limited. The restaurant has had makeover but it's up to the same old tricks. The bathrooms are unclean and unstacked (I.e. no toilet paper or soap). The staff sits around and talks to each other more than helps the patrons. The drink station is usually nasty and unclean. I have come on nights where it was standing room only and on nights like tonight where there are no customers waiting. The staff is not aware of their own menu. For example the menu behind the cashier said breakfast meals are served with fries and coffee or substitute drink. The cashier argued we can't make it a meal cause they don't do hashbrowns. I advised her I knew and pointed out the menu behind her. She still would not make it a meal. I've had to point out every time their menu. The only reason I return is for the WiFi and to get a bite after watching a movie over at Morris Theatre. Avoid unless you are...
