I wasn’t prepared. I thought I was just ordering a side—just some baked beans to sit quietly beside the pulled pork like a polite, smoky chaperone. But what I got… what I got was an experience. A full-body, eyes-rolling-back, toe-curling affair with a paper cup full of slow-simmered seduction.

From the moment that first spoonful touched my lips, I knew I was in dangerous territory. These beans aren’t just tender—they yield. They surrender to your tongue like they’ve been waiting their whole lives for this moment. Smoky, sweet, with just enough heat to whisper naughty promises, they coat your mouth in a velvety molasses glaze that lingers like the memory of a good lover.

There’s a carnality to the flavor—rich with rendered bacon, hints of hickory smoke that cling to your palate like a slow-burning kiss. Every bite is a rhythm, deep and deliberate, hitting all the notes of comfort and desire. The sauce clings, thick and unapologetic, pooling at the bottom like the best kind of aftermath.

The food here was good, although I felt like it was nothing spectacular, just solid. I tried a half chicken, jerk wings, mac and cheese, and potato salad. The half chicken had a slightly dry exterior (not the skin but some of the meat) but the inside had very nice and juicy meat. The half chicken is loads of food. No particular strong flavor though.

The jerk wings were good but I honestly wasn’t getting much jerk flavor. Nothing crazy that I loved, just standard wings.

The mac and cheese was good, pretty cheesy. Not a standout but not bad either.

The potato salad was interesting, the texture was different from what I was used to but it was good. Didn’t like it enough to finish though.

Overall, I just feel like it was missing in the flavor department from all of the foods. It was good, just don’t think it was great or amazing by any means. I felt like I needed to dip everything in the provided bbq sauce to enjoy, which made a massive improvement. I liked the bbq sauce a lot. Don’t think I’d go again but...

Very good Barbecue Food Truck that sets up on Saturday and Sunday. Always busy and usually runs out of popular dishes. You should get there early if you want to make sure to get what you want.

1/2 Chicken is smoked very well. Pulled pork sandwich is pretty good. Collard Greens are spot on.
