Overall this place was pretty much a letdown, to be honest. I took a friend here for dessert after a birthday celebration dinner. I had not high expectations, based on the reviews. First off, prices are on the moderate side. So not too expensive... but I definitely wouldn't call it cheap either. One of the issues that I had was the quality of the desserts. I tend to like sweets that are a little less sugary and more flavorful. But these desserts all seem like they had an exorbitant amount of sugar in them and we're just way too overly sweet. In addition I got a matcha latte blended drink. This pretty much tasted awful (it had a gross gritty powdery taste). I kinda wanted to throw it away but don't like throwing things out (especially when I pay decent amount for it). In addition, the thing that made made it worse was that the atmosphere was not at all what I expected. The staff is comprised of what (unfortunately) is the too common of many young people today. While, I wouldn't say that they were directly rude, they all seem lack social skills which adversely effects customer service. Instead of politely letting the customers who are still present that they would be closing soon, they passive aggressively started shutting off lights. This sort of behavior was noticed by the other customers as they commented it too. While, it's not the worst place I've ever been to I certainly can't recommend it. It's unfortunate, because I really wanted to like this place, but sadly I have no desire to go back...
Read moreI arrived just before 3pm so nearly everything from lunch was gone. There was one lonely sandwich there in the case, but I liked how it looked (it was egg salad), so I decided to go ahead and get it. Let me explain, when I was little, my mother made egg salad sandwiches for me and nothing was ever better. I only like hers. I was skeptical, but hopeful as I took my first bite. Homerun!! The egg salad was just the right amount of savory with a tiny hint of honey in the mustard dressing. The addition of crunchy pickles, lettuce and tomato dressed just so with a smidge of honey mustard between the third slice of bread was a fantastic touch. It leveled up the sandwich for sure. I strolled around for a bit and looked at all their sweets and pastries. It was my first time in, so I wasn't sure what to get. Everything looked carefully crafted and scrumptious! I picked up a bag of assorted treats to take home and also got a milk tea with boba to accompany my sandwich. Hit the spot. I'll be back for sure. This place is located in a busy industrial area, but I'm sure the local workforce here knows about it. If not, they need to get in...
Read moreWe were looking for an Asian bakery since our usual local haunt, 85C in Plano, doesn't seem to be open with Covid restrictions. I'm glad we made the drive! The music was enjoyable enough we took a few tracks off our Google assistant's "now playing" feature for our personal playlists. There was a wide selection of drinks and desserts. It has been so long since I had a good dessert splurge, I went a little overboard, but everything smells so fresh and what I've tried so far is delicious! The bread is soft and flaky, and the creams are smooth and fluffy in texture. They did have gloves and require masks for selections, and everything was also individually wrapped so I felt safe getting items in Covid times. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and ensured our order was complete. There was a short turn-around time between ordering drinks and walking out with our goodies. I had a lavender milk tea, which did not have any real floral flavor but was smooth and enjoyable to drink. My spouse had the lucky charm milk tea, which tasted like a sweetened thai tea. The boba was fresh and had a good flavor and texture. Glad...
