My family and I have been coming here for years. We’ve hosted so many friends over the years both dine in and take out. The food is so good. Today we had the worst service I’ve experienced in forever. We ordered our food to go but decided to wait a bit and sneak in a few bites before getting back on the road towards home. We live almost 40 min away by the way. When we got our food we sat back down and eat. I’m only assuming it was a manager lady walking towards us yelling that they asked if we wanted to eat in or to go. I told her yes we wanted it to go but we were going to sit for a moment to eat. She then says that because we decided to stay the people she has on the phone can’t come because we decided to stay. (I think that is what she was saying. She was loud and rude you could barely understand her) She continues to yell to the people behind the counter and go up to her an understanding of what the problem is because for one the restaurant was empty. 2. If I just spent $40 on one meal and samosas and I want to sit down and eat a samosa, in an empty restaurant that I just paid to patron, then I shall. The young man behind the counter had a nasty attitude and was dismissive and rude too. And it’s fine. You can think you can treat people any kind of way because of your own biases but just know it will Always come back to you. The food is good but the establishment is never clean. We have to always clean any table we sit at ourselves. Never saw it as anything more than you’re a small family business shorthand. I respected that. After all these years my family patroned to be disrespected. No good can possibly come from treating people like that.

I just had their Beef Bihari Roll, Malai Boti Roll, Goat Biryani and Desserts. I don’t even eat Beef Bihari but I had tried from a friend before and had loved it. I age it today and it’s the best beef Bihari touched my tongue! The Malai Boti Roll is very good too and the Goat Biryani is sooooo good! It was sizzling hot, good quantity (good for two people) and the goat was so well done, it melts in your mouth! I’ve not tried the desserts yet as I’m full but could not wait to write the review! While the food is top notch, my review is only for the taste of the food! The ambiance is below par! However, I saw renovation going on and I hope they do justice to it!

The food is great hands down I'm giving it one star this is my 2nd time here because the main guy that takes orders is a rude person and hard talk to anything that's on the menu u ask for his reply will be we stop serving it at this time seriously update the menu on what is available during lunch or dinner and brother u really have to change ur behavior towards customers who are not custom to the routine of ur restaurant and the menu because anyone that walks through ur doors will always look at the menu and ask questions also u can't give more attention to go orders then to customers dining in balance ur VALUE on customer service ur Kind Sir

Title: Delicious Middle Eastern Cuisine with a Few Room for Improvement

Rating: ★★★★☆

I recently had the pleasure of dining at AL Kabob Grill & Cafe located on Harry Hines Blvd in Dallas Texas. As a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine I was excited to try this restaurant out and overall I had a positive dining experience.

One of the highlights of my visit was the food. The menu offers a wide range of traditional Middle Eastern dishes from falafel wraps to kabobs and shawarma. I decided to try the mixed grill platter which included a variety of meats cooked to perfection. The chicken and lamb were juicy and flavorful while the beef had a delightful charred exterior. The portion sizes were generous and the presentation was aesthetically pleasing.

The service at AL Kabob Grill & Cafe was friendly and attentive. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu readily answering any questions I had. The food was served promptly and my server frequently checked in to ensure I had everything I needed. The atmosphere in the restaurant was comfortable and relaxed making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal.

However there were a few areas where AL Kabob Grill & Cafe could improve. While the main dishes were excellent I found the appetizer options to be somewhat limited. It would be great to see more variety in this section of the menu perhaps offering additional dips and appetizers to enhance the dining experience.

Additionally the dessert options were somewhat lacking. Although the baklava I tried was tasty I would have appreciated a wider selection of traditional Middle Eastern desserts to choose from. Adding a few more options such as knafeh or mhalabiya would complete the meal on a sweet note.

In terms of pricing AL Kabob Grill & Cafe offers fairly reasonable prices for the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. While it may not be the most affordable option it is worth the price for the taste and experience.

Overall AL Kabob Grill & Cafe is a delightful Middle Eastern restaurant that offers delicious and authentic cuisine. With exceptional food attentive service and a comfortable atmosphere it is definitely worth a visit. Despite the limited appetizer and dessert options I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving a flavorful Middle Eastern...

This is the second time this restaurant charged me extra for orders that were added without explaining the charges. This place is a disgrace. The food might be okay, but nothing about the experience is worth it. They get orders wrong every single time, then have the nerve to charge you for the WRONG ITEMS. I was forced to PAY EXTRA for their mistake — and get this — they wouldn’t even let me off the extra one dollar. They demanded that one dollar too. Ridiculous.

The older woman at the counter is the absolute worst — arrogant, incompetent, and shockingly rude. She’s awful at communicating, acts like customers are an irritation, and gets hostile the moment you question anything. Honestly, that lady is a arrogant and has no business dealing with people. Once, I ordered food for takeout and I was checking if they have me the correct order, the old lady shouted that we cannot eat here. I was just checking if they got the correct food for take out.

On top of that, my order took over 40 minutes. When I asked about the delay, instead of an apology I got contempt, eye-rolls, and attitude. No accountability, no basic courtesy, just entitlement and condescension.

This is sloppy, shady, and insulting. They sneak extra items into your order, tack on charges, insult you when you complain, and refuse even the tiniest bit of decency. Good food can’t cover for dishonesty and rudeness. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being overcharged, belittled, and treated like you...
