Catfish place — Restaurant in Dallas

I was honestly searching Google for a salad location nearby Lake June, and this spot populated among the list. I was a bit weary as I am typically picky when it comes to certain areas for feasting. However, the reviews were surprisingly outstanding given the rep Pleasant Grove receives. I’m a foodie, and you can’t be a foodie if you won’t try something. Right? So, I went. It’s located on the corner of Prairie Creek and Lake June. I love Catfish Place as the name since any place in the south is called a catfish place by us southerners. Lol I walked to the back, looked over the menu, called my husband, and order our food. First, I must address the customer service. The chef was patient and friendly as I figured out my order. He was very informative and personable. Eye-contact superb and conversation clear. A+! For me, I ordered the fish nuggets. For my husband, I ordered the 3-piece catfish fillet. Both plates come with fries, bread, jalapeños, pickles, hot sauce, ketchup, and tartar sauce. For the record, I personally don’t like extra crispy anything, but this one got me lol. This was by far the cleanest fish we’ve ever had. The bread was a vibe too. The fries were fresh and seasoned. We think the fish should have been seasoned more, but it didn’t stop us from eating it. Tried the catfish based on the review that the cook used to work at Ronnie's. The fish is okay it definitely tastes like catfish! It is hot and prepared after you order, and reasonable priced . However man oh man is it SALTY 🧂 !!! The fish fillets are cut into a decent size but after eating one piece it's almost unbearable two finish the other fillets because of the amount of salt. I do NOT mean seasoning I mean straight salt. You can call in or order at the counter and then you have to go to the register to pay in the convenience store line. So depending on how long the line is for the convenience store customers is the true wait to collect your food. So it is not really convenient for a lunchtime pickup if the convenience store is busy. Maybe I got it on the wrong day or the wrong time. I may try again and ask for less seasoning/salt. I would love to try the whole catfish...

This place is ridiculous!! They don’t open on time and obviously have issues with keeping their menu items. I for the first time called on Tuesday around 1pm and they didn’t have shrimp, yesterday I called and they didn’t even have any fish and this was at 12pm. It’s called the catfish place and they had no fish! Today I called at 10:08 and though they open at 10am she stated they’re not opening for another 20-25 minutes.
