⭐️⭐️⭐️ | A Promising Concept with Room to Refine
Cielito Lindo brings a refreshing and much-needed culinary voice to Pleasant Grove — one that celebrates tradition, culture, and community. The concept is charming, the décor warm, and the vision clearly driven by passion. As a woman-owned business, it’s inspiring to see this space thriving and offering something unique to the East Dallas brunch scene.
That said, the experience during my visit was a bit uneven.
I ordered the mixed chilaquiles (rojos and verdes) with steak on the side. While visually appealing, the flavors didn’t quite land — both sauces lacked depth, and the steak, unfortunately, came out a bit dry. It wasn’t inedible, but it didn’t match the promise of the presentation.
The ordering process is another area that could use improvement. Guests are required to stand in line to order and then find their own seating, which can feel disorganized during busy hours. It disrupts the flow, especially for those expecting a more relaxed, sit-down brunch experience.
Additionally, while the small children’s play area is a thoughtful touch for families, its proximity to the dining space creates unavoidable noise and distraction. I happened to be seated next to it, which made for a less-than-peaceful meal as I overheard kids arguing over toys and parents trying to mediate. Family-friendly is always welcome — but layout and atmosphere matter.
Still, I see tremendous potential in Cielito Lindo. The owner has clearly poured heart into this space, and with a few small adjustments — better table service, improved flow, and some acoustic balance — this place could absolutely dominate the East Dallas food scene.
I’ll be rooting for its growth, and I’ll be back to see how it evolves.

Read moreI was really excited to try this place and came on Sunday afternoon. I expected it to be busy but was not prepared for how unorganized the restaurant was. When we arrived there was a line out the door but then we got crammed inside with the line wrapping around the front register and towards the restrooms. The dining area was extremely crowded. I had no idea what was going on. Like are we in line to order or is there someone taking names down to seat people? There was not any employee giving directions on what to do. Eventually, I noticed people order at the register and get a number and then tried to find a table. It was clear that there was not enough seating based on how many customers were waiting in line to order. The experience was underwhelming. After 20 minutes of waiting we left. I think they need to figure a better solution to seating customers or communication about wait times to be seated or at least a hostess or some kind. I haven’t decided if I want to go back but I’d have to figure out a day that’s not too busy given the size of the restaurant. The...
Read moreTried Cielito Lindo for the first time, and it was such a great experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was smooth and welcoming. We ordered food along with some matcha, and to our surprise, our drinks were ready before we even decided where to sit—super quick service!
The food came out just as fast, with little to no wait time, which made the experience even better. We had the chilaquiles and a quesadilla, and both were absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. On top of that, the staff was incredibly attentive and kind.
Definitely planning to come back! If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food, fast service, and a friendly atmosphere, Cielito Lindo is the...
