Not sure why they are trying to DELETE my review… I will continue to post it as this is my experience in this establishment.. I walked in with my family of 5 and got told to sit anywhere, the restaurant was pretty empty with a few people at the bar and others in 2 table tops. We were told by a server to put two tables together since we were 6. And then the “manager” LISA GABRIELLA. She kicked us out this morning because we were 5 in a table of 6 and told the server not to sit us in that table after we had already sat down, ordered coffee, the server was getting our drinks and she aggressively said it was only for a table of 6 and instead she would prefer giving to someone else multiple times loudly. She said it multiple times shaming us for sitting there and asking how many were we, when she saw it was 5 of us. We are business owners so this is crazy that we were disrespected. It’s okay we came to jjs cafe down the street and the kindness outshined. But we basically felt racially profiled by a Latina herself. I will NOT GIVE Lisa Gabriella any stars she’s a racist clearly she treated only the other people differently. She yelled at the server for sitting us in a table of 6, making him feel embarrassed and embarrassing us. she’s an embarrassment of the establishment and I do not recommend coming here as she said she didn’t...
Read moreOur entire rating system from Google to Yelp to IMDb for movies has been compromised. There is no way these five star reviews are from authentic, disinterested, knowledgeable, and experienced people. I've been to many great diners around the country. This is not one of them. Everything seemed cheap, minimal, meager. The eggs were small. The hash brown serving was small. The "wheat" toast was light in color and light in weight, i.e. the least expensive brand available at your local grocery store. The food was at least 30% overpriced given the poor quality. The ladies working seemed pleasant, but they spilled coffee on my table twice, once partly staining a book I had, and when I asked for some butter, one of the ladies had to have another come translate. I suspect what keeps the place going is the Mexican food variations tailored to a particular market. Compared to high-speed diners in Philly, New York, throughout New England, and even places like Phoenix, Dallas Diner felt like a group of nice kids playing restaurant in their...
Read moreI am originally from Massachusetts and doing a road trip across the country. Diners are one of my favorite places because you get a more local and hometown feel to each different part of the country. I’m visiting my friend in downtown Dallas and I’ve been going to different dinners all over Dallas. Today will be my third visit to Dallas Diner. It’s a little outside the downtown area but it’s is the best breakfast I’ve had in Dallas without question. Great prices but what really makes this place great is how friendly and kind the wait staff is. I tend to order almost the same thing each morning and today the waitress remembered my drink. A small thing but the atmosphere makes you feel like you are surrounded by friends. Staff is very diligent about keeping things clean and following PPE procedures. I will definitely be coming back to Dallas Diner on my future visits to Dallas. Wish I could give them more...
