Disappointing Experience at First Quarter Bar & Grill

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at First Quarter Bar & Grill at Dallas Love Field Airport. The service was disorganized and unprofessional, and my entire visit felt like an afterthought to the staff.

When I sat down, I waited far too long without being acknowledged. A server named Armando walked past me twice without saying a word or offering water, which should be a basic courtesy.

I ordered a patty melt, which clearly states on the menu that it comes with fries, and I also added a side salad. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time (thanks to the cooks), but the patty melt arrived without fries and only with the side salad. When I asked Armando about the missing fries, he said, ā€œI thought you wanted the salad instead of fries.ā€ At no point did he ask for clarification or confirm my order—it was just assumed.

To make matters worse, when my food arrived, there was no silverware. I had to ask Armando for it, which felt like another unnecessary oversight. On top of all this, I was never offered water when I first sat down.

The lack of attention to even the most basic service standards left me completely disappointed. If you’re traveling through Love Field, I’d recommend skipping this...

Don’t go here if have less than 2 hours to kill. It took 33 minutes for fries a burger and a side salad. We had two different servers and after drinks were dropped it was 10 minutes before anyone(someone else) checked back, so we assumed we had to order from the QR code on the table(no one told us). After ordering and getting the typical overpriced mediocre airport food, we then found out that we couldn’t pay because the tab the server opened was separate from the app. The app also has little to no modifiers available. All that and before even ordering your own food, you are prompted to tip. There is also no way to confirm the cooks got your order through the app. The manager didn’t even comp anything when we explained the whole ordeal. We had planned to have enough time to get a coffee and food, but because it took 33 minutes to cook a frozen 1/4lb burger and loaded fries, we had to rush our gate. We understand things happen and airports are hell, but I’d have rather done McDonald’s...

Looking a quick and delicious meal while catching a layover flight at Love Field then keep looking cause First Quarter Bar & Grill ain't it. The service was poor and borderline suspect. I had to ask for everything at least times. This included my drink, Tabasco, silverware, and even the bill. Service was slow cause "the cook is 70 yrs old and moves like it." The food was ok and likely good for an airport, but the price was steep for the overall quality ($18.99 for the sandwich). The final note that tainted the entire experience was the server asking for the tip in cash as opposed to adding it via credit card. She also stood there waiting for the tip. I understand times are tough, and so I tipped responsibly. I travel for business and leisure quite frequently, but I have never encountered such service before. Anyway, I do not recommend it. You'd be better off grabbing sandwich at chick filet just up...
