Cantina Laredo — Restaurant in Dallas

The food is really bad. The eggs were so undercooked, the potatoes looked so gross and mushy (they were supposed to be breakfast potatoes). I give it 2 stars because my server was kind. However, they shamed me for having a service animal and because I fed him.

He is a small dog and most places don’t mind that he sits on my lap or lays down next to me in a booth. A Karen sitting next to me walked up to the workers and complained because I asked for a separate plastic bowl to give him my potatoes (since they were so gross, he actually didn’t finish them which is so rare for him that’s how bad they were). I don’t give it to him from the table I placed it down on the seat. When I saw that Karen leave I thought she was just done with food, and then I saw her complaining to a manger, so I placed him on the floor to finish his food.

Instead of talking to the lady and explaining ADA to her and telling her that they can just ask me to keep this tiny poodle on the floor if she’s so uncomfortable, this manager lady came up to me and very loudly for the whole place to hear and passive aggressively told me that the lady left because of me as she was grossed out that I started feeding the dog. And even when I said I gave him my food not hers in a separate plastic bowl for him. She continued to shame me, while acting like she’s not the one complaining it’s the Karen lady. Like nah ma’am you’re doing this on purpose. And When I said it’s not my problem lady was uncomfortable, The worker proceeded to tell me that it’s gonna be a problem for the restaurant cuz Karen was gonna call the health department, with such passive aggressive attitude. How is that my problem??? If she didn’t like this tiny mini poodle sitting next to me laying down in a booth, she could have asked the worker to ask me to place him on the floor as she isn’t comfortable eating next to a service animal! Instead they publicly shamed me. I paid for my gross food and left, and now I’m sitting at my gate and I have anxiety/panic attack coming on because I was harassed by this worker who thought she would shame me. My first and last...

KATHLEEN THE HOSTESS HAS A PERSONALITY OF A COLD POTATO!!! We had just come off of a flight and decided to eat here and watch the Dallas Cowboys game. We asked the hostess if we could sit at a table that was right in front of the tv showing the Cowboy game. Her response was , “I guess you can sit there but it will be tight!!” Mind you these tables were all booths of the same size. When we did sit there we all had to scoot closer to the table to eat, there was plenty of room. We even had room between us for our bags!! Our waitress/server Litza’s personality was not much better!!! She was very short with her answers and never acknowledged us when we asked if we could have more chips, she would just walk away and return with the requested item and practically put it on the table like a hot potato and quickly walk away. This place wasn’t very busy for her to be dropping it off and walking away quickly like she was doing. This happened with every request. The food is ok….the service however needs a lot of attention. Corporate if you are reading this, please address this!!! This doesn’t seem to be a one off occurrence, read the other reviews…maybe they need customer service training or you need new employees. Their bad personalities and service gives me a bad impression of your company...

Oh my. It took several minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there. Then we we were first seating we were given a table that was sardined together with other tables that would disturb the other poor souls that went there. We asked to move to a booth, which the manager gave us a bit of an attitude about. Then the food. My lord. It was horrible. The salsa was tomato sauce with black pepper and the remnants of a cast iron skillet. No flavor or heat at all. Luckily I had some Beer salt in my bag and I used that to give it some sort of flavor. Once ordered, the food came back in less than 5 minutes. Which sounds great however the beans were directly from a can. Still looking congealed. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. The tacos were horrid. There was a spittle of meat that looked questionable and a sprig of lettuce and two pieces of diced tomato and they were cold. The server was sweet but everyone moved at the rate of molasses and it’s very clear that they are not interested in repeat customers just people to drink enough to not notice that the food is horrible. Had to take this visit as a loss since I had to pay for this then go and get food elsewhere in...
