Golden Chick — Restaurant in Dallas

I’ve gone through the drive thru a few times and never had an issue. Today, I decided to eat inside with my kids. It took over 10 minutes for my food to get brought out even tho the plates sat on the counter with chicken in them for the majority of that time. I thought maybe they were making fresh fries but they weren’t fresh when we got them. They also sent multiple order for to go and through the drive thru out while we waited. I get it. Their drive thru time is probably timed so the eat in customers aren’t priorities. Bigger issue. I asked for spicy tenders with gravy for the dipping sauce. He tried handing me the plate with regular tenders and no sauce. Biggest issue. The main reason we ate inside was so my daughter could have an ice cream cone. Nothing came out of the machine. I told the guy it was empty. He told me that it was probably frozen from the inside and there was nothing he could do about it. As we finish our meal a man comes in and tries to get ice cream as well. They send someone out with cream and the machine starts working right away. I addressed it with the man he told me he couldn’t do anything and he just said well it could have been frozen. It’s working now you can get it now. It’s really rude and dismissive. To make matters worst the guy they fixed the machine for ordered his food to go. The machine clearly says dine in only....

This was my first and last visit to this location. I ordered the junior catfish combo with a side of mashed potatoes. After paying, I was asked to pull over to a nearby parking space and told that my order would be brought out to me. I did so, and the car behind me pulled up to the window. The driver and the cashier engaged in conversation which went on for almost the entire 10 minutes that I sat waiting for my order. The driver kept showing the cashier something on her phone and I don't know what the problem was, but I sure felt sorry for the guy behind her in the drive-thru. After 9 minutes of waiting, I hollered to the cashier "I still don't have my order!" He turned to someone behind him, said something, then turned back to me and said they'd be bringing it right out. The guy who brought out my food stood by my car window a few seconds longer than necessary and it seemed that maybe he was waiting for a tip! I am convinced that my order was ready long before that and just sat on the shelf, because neither the catfish nor the potatoes were even slightly warm. I didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary, so there's no excuse that it took that long. The only reason I gave two stars is that the catfish was tender with good breading. Disappointed and not going to return to this location. We do GC most weeks. We particularly like the current special with 3 tenders, side, roll & drink but this location is wildly inconsistent. The last 3 visits have been unacceptable.

The 3 tenders on both orders were 1/2 size, items were missing from both orders (roll, sauce & utensils).

The side salad was nice and actually better than usual but we were overall dissatisfied and won’t return.

There is a location on Arapaho and also Coit that have been much better and more consistent. We will return to them.

Sad that this location which is convenient based on where we drive is off our list.

The flavor of the chicken fingers was good (Both regular and spicy) but even after going back through to correct the order it was not made right. Done. They just don’t get my money.
