Grandy's — Restaurant in Dallas

Arrived at 1:35pm 2 cars ahead of me made to the speaker box at 2:00pm no one acknowledged me so I said hello and the young girl said one moment ma’am. Okay. Twelve more minutes passed so my sister said hello again young girl said one moment ma’am I’m busy. Still kept my professionalism. Five minutes later she takes the order get to the window and wait as she is making the plates then she brings the plates for bagging so she could take our payment and I asked to see the plates before we paid for the order and of course she had an attitude and I didn’t care. So I asked the young girl twice for the manager at this time because her attitude was so bad, she refuse to tell me who the manager was so I then yelled through the window to other co workers to see who the manager was and of course I was able to doesn’t o the manager. Needless to say as I was telling the manager bout my experience the rude young girl was listening and packing my order and said that she would throw the food in my face and the so call manager told the employee to hush and of course she kept bumping her mouth. However, when the young girl said she would throw the food in my face I lost all respect and professionalism and told her I wish she would. Cause the moment she would’ve done that I was goin o pull her thru my car window and then call 911 and pressed assault charge’s against her. Believe me I don’t play wit kids. Worst place to eat! Grandy’s is one of those places that brings a sense of nostalgia with its homestyle comfort food, but my experience here has been a bit of a mixed bag, which is why I’m giving it three stars. On the positive side, the food is hearty and filling. The fried chicken is crispy and flavorful, the rolls are warm and buttery, and the mashed potatoes with gravy remind me of a classic Southern meal. Portions are generous, and the prices are fair, which makes it a solid option when you’re craving comfort food without breaking the bank.

That being said, there are definitely areas that need improvement. Service can be inconsistent—sometimes the staff is friendly and attentive, but other times the service feels rushed or indifferent. Cleanliness is another area where I’ve noticed issues; during a couple of visits, the dining area could have used more attention, with tables left uncleaned for too long.

The atmosphere also feels a little outdated. While that can add to the “country diner” charm for some, it does give off a worn-down impression when compared to other similar restaurants.

Overall, Grandy’s is a decent spot if you’re in the mood for affordable, homestyle cooking, but it’s not a place I’d go out of my way for. Solid, but not...

This was my first time visting I should have went with my first thought I knew it was filthy because of the location and it wasnt packed but my hubby was treating me to breakfast so I said ok let me try it out I could be wrong but guess what by the looks of things I was right the floor was sticky and the tables was nasty I didnt eat all my food I threw it away the breakfast buffet food was over cooked and the place is so dirty need the health department called on them they are lazy so busy trying to look at people in their face they need to shut this place down I think I got food posioned because my stomach was cramping and flipping inside like I was having labor pain and my head started to hurt and I felt like throwing up Im so upset at this place they should be ashamed I can just imagine how their house look and how they take care of their body and another thing is when you eating at the buffett they let you take the plate that you already ate from just what if someone have herpes or TB or Hiv you have to be careful where you eat.I told my hubby dont ever take me to that nasty...
