Jane's Sugar Magnolia — Restaurant in Dallas

LOVE this place! Newly open, it's a specialty bakery and cake shop that sells everything from cookies, cupcakes, macaroons, and breakfast pastries to custom order event and wedding cakes. They also sell various specialty coffees! My personal favorite is their chai latte - can choose whether hot or iced. Try one of their drinks with almond milk instead of skim or whole!

Pricing: appropriate for a specialty shop, in my opinion. Sure, you can get cheaper coffee at Dunkin... but it's not the same experience. Plus, the portion sizes for all cookies/cakes/pastries are very generous!

Parking: Some street parking on Main Street (perfect if you want to park and run in quick to grab a bite to go) but additional parking available in parking lot behind nearby orthodontist office (~1min walk).

Seating: Some bar seating along storefront (perfect if you want to come get a pastry/coffee & study or answer some emails!) along with various tables and some booth seats. Outdoor seating coming soon!

Pet Policy: Service animals only allowed inside (may be asked to provide documentation), but all pups are welcome on the outside patio!

Wifi: Free for all customers. Login password on pastry counter!

Bathroom(s): Single bathroom for all customers!

Ambiance: Blue and white color scheme with open concept/high ceilings and beautiful whisk lighting features define this gorgeous refurbished barn. Tons of natural lighting, as well!

Special Dietary Considerations: Gluten free options available frequently, and on special request/order. Accommodations can be made for other diets as well, just ask.

Owner: Local female small business owner/entrepreneur - Penn State & culinary school grad with a passion for baking and custom cake design.

How to order a custom cake/cookies/etc: Visit their website or email info@janessugarmagnolia.com! They ask for 2 weeks' notice for custom orders - will try to accommodate on shorter notice, but for an extra 'rush' fee.

Jane's is AMAZING!!! Megan & Jane took such care in designing our perfect wedding cake from the very start, and it turned out more beautifully than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention it was delicious! My husband & I intended to save the top tier of our cake to eat on our first anniversary but we couldn't resist and ended up eating the whole thing ourselves in the week following our wedding. Looks like we will just have to celebrate our first anniversary by getting another cake from Jane's next year! Beyond the cake, every dessert Jane's provided for our wedding was fantastic (especially the cookie sandwiches) & our guests can't stop talking about them! Wow! That’s pretty much the only word that I can use to describe how unbelievable and phenomenal Jane and her team were. My cake was visually stunning but even more delicious it was a four tiered wedding cake with two different flavors a white cake with A lemon filling and a chocolate cake with coffee crunch.
