I first want to start off by saying that I have very few reviews on google for public spaces. Although this wouldn’t typically look like a good thing, the majority of reviews I have left previously are either because the store is atrocious or because I want some free stuff. Yet, this review is rare, specifically in the fact that I am posting it for neither of those previously mentioned reasons.
First, the reason I came in today was to see what form of offers I would be able to receive in order to get a newer generation IPad. For context, I currently have a 6th Generation IPad that runs well for the most part. However, with college engineering classes requiring me write a multitude of notes on a singular OneNote page, the older IPad slowly began to skip around and lose performance. Now going back to the event, I came in around 1830 and was first met with David. David was a younger gentleman who I learned had only started there in February of this year. Yet, as he immediately dived into my significant others account information, I could quickly tell he was a great worker who dedicates his time intimately to his customers.
Moving on, he began to help my significant other to try and find the best deal in which we might be able to get the IPad with the limited financing we had available, whilst also desperately trying to only get us the best deal possible. Following this action, swiftly came the store’s manager, Jon, out of what seemed the stores minute shadows like the Dark Knight himself. He had began assisting David with the sole intention of saving us as much money as possible. In addition to helping David, Jon also began interacting with me and started to discuss hobbies of his and past experiences that tied into what I was going through in my own life. It felt like a connection between friends rather than employee and customer. We spoke about things like retro games, anime, college, or anything else that you would bring up with some mutual friends.
As David continued to crack down on achieving financing for my tablet, Jon continued to assist in providing a plethora of teaching opportunities to David and carefully instructed him how to fix any mistakes a new employee may make. I continued to take notice of these little teaching moments, but Jon did not leave much time before jumping immediately back into our previous conversation. Eventually, we had realized that I had the option to open up my own plan since there was not enough financing available on my significant other’s account. This was also made such an easy path as David intently and fluently entered all the necessary details and confusing information in order to create my very own Verizon account.
I’m the end, David even stayed past the closing time of their store just to make sure I got the best possible deal on my new little ol’ IPad. If I could possibly recommend anyone to come here, I would definitely say to start shopping here for your phone plan. Interact with Jon, the manager, and David, a dedicated employee, as they will gladly partake in any discourse you may start with them. Finally, I would like to say a BIG thanks to Jon and David for everything you’ve...
Read moreMy husband went to this location right before Christmas. His Samsung Galaxy phone was old but was performing normally until suddenly it just went black and wouldn’t turn back on. He was devastated. He had hundreds of photos, text messages and contacts that he didn’t want to lose. We had gone to the Verizon store in Dallas many times and never had a problem. Then came Joe! He told my husband that he had lost everything and told him he needed to buy a new phone. He told him to take his old phone to a “geek” at Best Buy and maybe they could retrieve some of his stuff. He also told him since he wasn’t trading in his old phone that day he would have to get a new phone number. He then sold him a google phone even though he requested another Samsung Galaxy. He was told that if he needed to return it there would be a 50$ restock fee. The next day, my son, who is not a geek, was able to turn his phone on and it went into automatic recovery mode. Thankfully everything came back! When he tried to return the new phone Joe told him he wouldn’t give him any money back! He also told us we would have to call Verizon ourselves to cancel the new phone number/line that he had created? We went to the Verizon store by the arena in WB and Francis and then Margie helped us, they were both amazing. They told us that we should call corporate and report what had happened. I called the Dallas store back and asked to talk to the supervisor and Nick told me no supervisor was available to talk to and Joe was off that day. Long story short, Verizon corporate and our credit card company are both working to get us our money back. Nick helped us a bit but was obviously annoyed and was distracted because he was playing blackjack on an online gambling site the whole time we were there. I will never deal with that location again. They don’t have the same training or culture found in the...
Read moreI went in to switch from Sprint to Verizon, and although it took 2.5 hours to get everything transferred due to problems with their computer, the staff was nice and it seemed like everything went smoothly. Since that time, my experience with them has been terrible due to the following problems:
Phone trade-ins cannot be done in store and must be mailed in. If you go to a Verizon store they can do the trade-in on the spot. Associate named Sean lied multiple times about the trade-in offers I would be receiving. He then refused to acknowledge what he had originally told me, and that the offer I agreed to never existed. Sean also said that my application for new phones would not show up on my credit report, but it did cause a hard pull through Experian. When working with the manager Bryan, he was not able to honor the offers I originally agreed to. He was able to suggest a different offer but this required an additional 3 weeks, since my final Sprint bill was needed. It also took Bryan 2 weeks to get the promotional code I was supposed to receive sent to me, and an additional week of working on it to finally get it to work on the website.
It is now 5 weeks after my original purchase, and I was just able to send all of my phones and information to Verizon to begin the rebate offers, when I was under the impression it would only be a week. I would highly recommend to avoid this store if shopping for new service or phones with Verizon and go straight to a local Verizon store instead. I am greatly disappointed with how much work and time I needed to invest to get all my issues resolved with...
