Josie Ice Cream & Grill — Restaurant in Dallas

Today was the worst experience ever, coming to this place. My family and myself were highly disappointed in the service and food. We live pretty far from you all but we always try to minimum come to you all once a month but after today we would no longer make that drive to eat there. The order wasnt right after I repeated it twice to the lady. When our food arrived it the table it looked a little different and at first bite you could tell it had been sitting out for too long even the meat was cold not to mentioned that they were out of the green salsa. The meat on my daughters torta just plain too salty and to make matters worse one side of the torta had cold meat while the other was hot. When asking where the rest of the order was the lady states that I never order instead of admitting that she may have forgotten to add it to my order they wanted a receipt for me to show them but I wasnt given one so they had to sit there and search for my order so she could check. I didn't want any free an apology for the mistake would of been just fine instead of arguing with me about my order. Best...

I stopped by to use the restroom and grabbed a bottle of water and a milkshake out of gratitude as my truck was having a new muffler installed at the repair shop (Abel's) across the street.

The pistachio almond milkshake was amazing! There were a lot of other delicious looking items, but I had already had breakfast shortly before I arrived.

I may bring the family by so they can enjoy it before we conclude our stay in the area.

Update: Went again and had the chance to enjoy the Elote en Vaso (street corn in a cup), I can't even describe how good it was except for the loud "mmmmm" I let out when I took my first bite. It was fantastic all the way to the last bite as well. Also had the fresh squeezed orange juice, and they really do mean fresh squeezed. I watched them cut and squeeze several oranges, and it tasted better than any orange juice...

I used to come here a lot, but after my last experience I'm no longer giving you guys my business. The ice cream and the elotes were always really good. But customer service is the key to a successful business. Once I was done ordering, the owner basically told me to get out of the way. And the cashier charged me for a banana split instead of a small elote just because I requested it in a different container and when the other lady had told her that I got a corn, the cashier followed up with a "señora used me dijo que era un banana split" with an attitude .Good food but you should definitely teach your employees good...
