Buckner (Samuell) Park — Attraction in Dallas

Acres of park in the middle of East Dallas. Flat, covered with grass, few trees but a nice new looking pathway wandering throughought the park and to the tennis courts, basketball court, kiddie play area and parking lot which it shares with the elementary school next door. I was there on a sunny day in mid January but the grass and trees looked pretty bleak, as you can imagine. But I can see folks in nicer weather going for a stroll here, maybe playing frisbee, bringing their young ones to play in the fenced in area. Most of the trees here are fairly young, probably less than 10 years old, and the park will look quite a bit different when they reach maturity. Its an OK park but I'm not sure if I'll be back, though I live nearby. I'm probably not the target...

Great park! Very clean. We love to take our dog here on the weekends and play fetch with him in the big open areas. He really loves running around. It's a nice park for running too since the sidewalks are pretty new and kept up. If you live in the area definitely check...
