“Best taqueria in Dallas” is a very big claim, so I had to come here to see if they met the expectation… First things first- know that this place absolutely does NOT have rice and beans. If you are looking for a platillo con arroz y frijoles like I was, you will not find it here. However, their tacos are very good. Both salsas are good as well. The meat was very well-marinated and everything overall was very fresh. I also tried their horchata. It was very good as well. I would give this place a 5/5 but I take two stars away because it was overpriced for what you get. I paid $11.28 for three tiny tacos and an horchata. I am 5’2”, 120 lbs and I was not full after I ate the tacos. Also, this place is very good but I definitely would not say they are the best taqueria in Dallas. They would need to lower their prices a bit and add rice and beans to their menu to even compete in that...
Read moreOne of my favorite spots to dine at during my lunch. The food is always made fresh and the flavor is there and delivers every single time. I’ve tried tacos Al pastor, tacos de bistec, torta milanesa, gorditas, sope, quesadilla, and a huarache. So as you can see, I love the place. I try to take anyone that wants to eat lunch with me there because I enjoy it so much. The dining area is tiny, but it gives the restaurant extra charm and a home/cozy like feeling. I also enjoy that they give you your own salsa bottles when you dine in, and that they have to go boxes and forks for you to get. The staff is also very kind and do a great job at cooking, keeping the restaurant clean, and keeping up with the line of people they usually have coming in during lunch. Can’t recommend it enough. Glad to have stumbled across it on my quest for yummy and close...
Read moreThe food is good, but here’s the skinny - I went there to order 3 breakfast tacos (they are tiny, 2-3 bite sized) I also ordered a Jamaica) the total ended up being $18.50, nearly $20 for 3 small tacos and a drink. I asked how much the tacos were and they said $2.50 but that because I added cheese (most places include cheese) and “upgraded” my order from corn to flour tortillas, that was the reason for the price.
I went up the street to tacos y mas and got a quesadilla, two tacos (on flour and with cheese) and an order of chips and queso all for $17.20
Too bad because I remember going to the old El Atoron location years ago and it didn’t cost extra for the exact same taco I had tried to order, just not...
