La Roma Pizzeria / Pizza, Pasta, Wings Burger and More — Restaurant in Dallas

Y’all, we have been in search of a good pizzeria in our area for YEARS. We came across La Roma in a fluke when we did some searches on the map a few weeks ago…and since then, we’ve been back close to a dozen of times!

Food: OH.EM.GEE!!! The flavor explosion!!!! Their pizza is so unique that we’ve never had anything like this around here…or even ever! Seriously, our kids HATE crusts (even pizza hut’s stuffed crust! I know they’re monsters!) Not only we had no leftover pizza for the next day’s lunch, they even said “this is the best pizza we’ve ever had!” I’m not exaggerating.

Outside of the fact that they use fresh quality ingredients, the sauce is so flavorful that they don’t even need to load the pizza up with it to make it soggy. We also like that they put the toppings UNDER their cheese…our kids call them “stuffed pizzas”. They brown that cheese up and it’s sooooooo good! Their Italian sausage topping comes in slices and they’re a tad spicy, we love it!!

We have tried other dishes as well. The lasagna was sooooo flavorful since, I believe, they use the same red sauce as the pizza. The Alfredo chicken was great as well, the sauce was very flavorful and the sautéed mushrooms were a great plus. If I have to nitpick, I wish there are more chicken and mushrooms…but the noodles and sauce themselves make up for them!

Oh…and their pasta dishes come with about a dozen of these strips of thin garlic bread that are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Like for real! Top notch!

Price: The price is very competitive! It’s about the same as Italian joints around but for what you get, it’s a whole lot more than worth it!

Location: it’s tucked away in a small shopping center behind a carwash. The place is small, it’s for takeout and delivery only. It’s clean and neatly kept. The service has been great even though it’s just a takeout joint. We made an order online and they call us to let us know that it’s ready to be picked up.

I found this location by accident. The first day I went. I had to calzone the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. He told me all about it so I tried it and it was really good. Don't be deterred by the Ladies of the Night or the shady parking area (and I don't mean by trees), the food is worth it!! Their pizza is made to order and with the upmost skill. They layer the ingredients then lock them in with cheese. The dough is not too dense and perfect final bites once you have made it that far with a slice. The toppings are plentiful and well placed.
