Paleta Mia Ice Cream — Restaurant in Dallas

When I say I will not return to this place I will not be returning nor would I advise any of my family and friends to spend their money here… they simply don’t want it, this was my second time coming into this establishment and my experience definitely wasn’t any different from the first… I came into the store ready to purchase ice cream for my family and literally stood at the counter for 10 minutes without a greeting, hello ma’am can you give us a min, not even a we’ll be right with you or anything to acknowledge my presence… they Simply looked at me in my face and kept right on going… a group of young Latino men walk in and immediately they walked up and greeted them and took their order… I had to ask were we not allowed in the establishment since we weren’t prioritized like the other guest… I asked for the manager or owner and was told that they’ll speak with them about what happened… it’s 2022 and way beyond segregation, every customer should have the same experience when visiting your establishment… I do not feel comfortable returning to this establishment…. I matter, I am important, and i work too hard for my money just to be treated like anything other than who...

3/15/24- (review from my son) Today's experience was great! We ordered two elotes: one with valentina and another with no salsa. We also got the nachos and they are always good. They are hot and the workers don't skip out on the cheese. However, when I was trying to order a paleta, they went straight to the other family behind me instead of taking my order. I am guessing they thought I was with the other family. I don't blame them because I am small and stealthy. I do recommend coming to Paleta Mia if you are in the area.

We love Paleta Mia! The elotes are hot and tasty. The cheeseburger and fries taste delicious. The agua frescas are yummy. We usually get the agua fresca de fruta. My son loves the churros from here. I have been to the new location in Fort Worth twice, the place is beautiful and I love the variety on the menu. However I don't know if it’s because it’s new, but some of the employees seem to be very lost on how to prepare certain menu items. First visit was good and exciting and not too long of a wait, but my second visit didn’t go as smoothly, my bf and I waited for almost 20 minutes in a line that had just 1 couple in front of us and two occupied tables. I ordered a michelagua expecting it to be somewhat like your average miche just non alcoholic, the young lady helping us seemed lost preparing it and I ended up getting agua de pepino with a chamoy rim that dripped all the way to the to the bottom of my cup, It was not what I expected at all. My bf got an elote preparado and it had more water than actual ingredients in it. These things are an easy fix that I’m sure with time will get better and we will definitely will be going back because the paletas, nieve, aguas and Mexican chips...
