I ordered I grilled salmon with a house salad on Grubhub app. It was a little to expensive for salmon that small, for $16, and I’m talking about the dinner portion. I was disappointed to see that there was no sauce that came with it. So you’d have to spend $3 to have sauce. I had opened up the house salad and by looking at it, it was not the kind of house salad I’d expected...i thought a house salad is simple lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and red onions. Instead, it was spinach, arugula, some kind of other lettuce, dried cranberry, almonds, green apple slices and bacon. I could have asked for another one, but I was at lunch. I do not eat bacon, therefore, I took the bacon off. I really couldn’t enjoy it because they had put so much bacon and cranberries on it, I don’t like those either. Grubhub did not have a description of what was in the salad. The ranch dressing was not authentic, it seemed like Kraft Ranch dressing quality and I had to use THAT for some of the salmon since I didn’t have sauce to go with it 😑. I had the asparagus and lime cilantro rice (which I could have replaced rice with broccoli because I didn’t realize it came with a starch). I just need to check out the actual menu next time, instead of relying on GH. Overall, the meal was okay. I was hungry and wanted something healthy to eat. Next time, I’ll see exactly what they have on the menu. The food is a little overpriced, but hey, what gourmet restaurant...
Read moreMet up with my husband today for lunch and it wasn't our best experience. We have dined here once before for dinner and our experience was totally different..better. The restaurant is currently under construction, which didn't bother me, but it was the service that did. My husband and I are easy customers. We don't complain and we take what we get. Today, my husband ordered the shrimp tacos as a lunch special and there was a long strand of hair wrapped up in the green onions and dressing. We weren't going to say anything, but when I saw how long the strand of hair really was, I could not NOT say something. The gentlemen who came to ask how we were doing, not our waiter, brought my husband another taco out quickly after we showed him the strand of hair. I at least expected a manager or someone to come apologize or offer for the tacos to be on the house, but no. And we weren't going to ask. Maybe I'm wrong to expect that, but that was a long piece of hair! I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Louis Salad. Tasty, but way too much iceberg lettuce and not enough salad dressing (marmalade). Our waiter never came by after refilling my iced tea only once so I couldn't ask for more dressing. I later saw our waiter bartending at the bar and he didn't come by our table again until we were ready for our check. My husband and I more likely will not be visiting this...
Read moreThe seafood is really good with a decent selection- everything from a simple grilled salmon to a deep-fried mahi fillet smothered in a cajun sauce... which, you know, not a great decision for mahi-mahi, but hey, at least they give you the option. There's also boiled baskets, with a choice of seasonings, as well as fresh options. I tried the peel-and-eat shrimp with a "all-in" cajun butter sauce which was rich, flavorful, and a little bit spicy. I also had the tilapa "Oscar" which was a fillet, fried in a parmesan coating and then smothered in a herb bechamel. Both were cooked near perfection. The peel-and-eats came out of their shell easily and were tender, and the tilapia was moist, but flaky. The price was right on. Obviously, it's seafood, so it was going to be a bit of an expensive lunch either way, but the bill certainly wasn't exorbitant. The wait staff was extremely nice. I was meeting a friend for lunch, and the hostess at the door took note when my friend arrived, mentioned my name, and brought him right over. That really impressed me. Overall, it's an excellent option if you're hankering for some good seafood in South Plano or...
