Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Dallas

What seemed to be an innocent mistake at first suddenly became what appears to be a SCAM put on by the workers at this location. I ordered a large drink. I received a medium drink and the guy who said he was the supervisor came out and told me the price difference. I told him I was not going to pay additional for the mistake. He insisted that I needed to pay although it was their perceived mistake. I told him I was going to have to speak to the owner. He said ok and went inside. He came back out with a drink in hand which was not what I ordered and appeared to be watered down. But while I was waiting, the guy in the car next to him had the same problem. The little girl wearing a lot of long black weave or a wig was waiting on him. The so-called manager or supervisor was called over. I listened as she explained, "He ordered a large drink but received a medium...." The supervisor told the man the same thing he told me. The price difference is $1.58. You will have to pay it." By this time, I told the man. The same exact thing happened to me. The girl standing their says, "Ma, it was a simple mistake, that's all. No need to make a big deal out of it!" I thought to myself, it was a scam to get cash money out of each patron which could add up significantly if you ran the scam on every car which came through...$158.00 for 100 patrons x 7 days = $1106. I hope the owner checks it out and review the records of all the "medium" drinks ordered which were allegedly mistakes. This is organized crime if they are scamming people as a group of employees. Check...

I pull up to the drive thru....I'm waiting at least 5 mins with no acknowlegement from inside...I can hear the young girl at the window talking about something(couldn't make out what she was saying)...so I thought the speaker was possibly broken...so I yelled into the speaker HELLO CAN YOU HEAR ME...2or 3 times with no response. I wait for another 5 minutes or so with cars lined up behind me still no response. So I drove up to the window and waited for someone to come to the window...I can see the young girl standing there so after about a minute or two I tap on the window....no response...I tap again no response...I tap again ...the window opens...I asked is the speaker broken...she says no....I informed her that my family and I had been waiting for over 10mins to order a drink and a cup of ice...she says"can you wait because I have some orders that are BEHIND you"....are you serious young lady...after what I just told you my experience that's your response. You are the worst at your job...I wouldn't come back to this place ever...that type of intellect indicates to me that the employees probably don't wash their hands or spit in the drinks....been to Sonics in a variety to cities and towns in Texas...this was absolutely the worst customer service ever...your management and ownership should be embarrassed, oh by the way it was around 4pm Saturday March 23 , 2018...Just in case management wants to identify that young lady at the window....she needs some serious help...standing there with a blank look on...

This Sonic was awful! I ordered coffee with an add in of pecan praline, creamers and Splenda on the side. Sounds pretty simple, right? It was delivered to my car 20 minutes later. (There were only 3 other customers there) The car hop brought me the coffee with it spilled all over the cup and the lid, no creamer and 2 packages of sweet and low. I requested creamer to her verbally and Splenda. She said she didn't feel like they carried that but she would double check for me. She came back to my car 15 minutes later and told me they don't have creamers for coffee and she had 3 different packs of sugar in her hands and asked me which one was Splenda. I drove around to the drive through window hoping to speak to someone more familiar with their job... I waited an additional 10 minutes for someone to notice me blowing my horn and tapping on their window. That employee was very sweet and she gave me 5 creamers and 5 splendas. I pulled up to pour it into my coffee. The coffee had chocolate in it, carbonation and it was cold. I threw it away and left. This place was absolutely horrible and I wouldn't recommend it to any one in the world. Don't pull off the interstate to get anything...
