Tap and Tavern — Restaurant in Dallas

Been coming to this hotel for 20 years.. has steadily gone downhill. Menu is lacking in options and anything that was ever good on it was removed. Not kid friendly and does not have options for differing food lifestyles. Drinks are way over priced. They removed the pool tables making the atmosphere even less desirable. There used to be some great servers and bar tenders before covid hit. Now... I must say the service is some of the worst I've had. At least the old crew kept the place full and full of life. This restaurant is inside the hotel. When I checked in, I was told the restaurant & bar closed at 11pm. I walk into the restaurant at 10.54pm and the bartender had bottles already off the bar in a cart and I was received with a friendly RESTAURANT & BAR ARE CLOSED. I mean at least he was friendly... I told him I was told it closed at 11 and then he played dumb and told me kitchen was open only making to go orders. Order food for me & my family, they gave me the wrong stuff and food was not appealing at all. Expensive, bad service and bad quality of food. I should just uber...

The absolute worst service I've ever experienced in Dallas. The server, Sherry, was so appalled that we showed up to patronize the establishment. Had to flag her down multiple times. Had to walk over to her each time to get menu, order, pay. Our very presence as guests seems to irritate her. This should be a more popular restaurant based on the location, but with staff like that, I can see why people don't go. We left after our drinks. Had three courses and drinks somewhere else. Night and day experiences. I really hope the management makes the dining experience...
